In Gmod LUA the variable to set that controls how many bullets are in a mag, clip, or how many shells it holds is called SWEP.Primary.ClipSize - this is where he got clip from.
As for bullets, in lua it too uses gmods lua bullet.Structure. You specify the bullet.Num variable to determine how many projectiles come out.
So while hes not accurate from a realistic point of view, he is accurate from a lua point.

You're technically wrong. Although somewhat uncommon, there are a handful of shotguns that do take clips, though they still use shells [usually buckshot, sometimes slugs]. Although I don't know the names of them, I do remember the USAS12 is admist the few...and the USAS is also an Automatic shotgun.
