v So. FPS Saver is Potato mode. @Giova. and Atm not yet. we have something new being made from scratch. We are aware of what ur talking of which we would love to but we would need to obtain the source and see if its compatible. So short answer: No.

We are aware of issues. however we are unsure if fixable. We will most likely start from scratch. (Thank Saber for the broken scripts)

Again will try. I know the new.. "Teardown" update broke a lot so idk if stuff functions as intended or not still. We may ditch this we may not tho we WILL be making something from scratch soon some day

I tested it, no ground with AMD cards, especially Radeon iGPUs.

Blame Advanced Micro Devices for your problems, the next PC I will be building myself will use NVIDIA.

@L v most likely. I dont use them and it still crashed. We dismantled the trains and removed certain parts yet it still occured. if you have like no mods lag isn't bad. We are rebuilding our own map from the ground up. custom train included

I found propably reason why game crash: it's cause optimalization mods, propably after train crash the whole train just deasapering and game crash

Can you add potato mode no explosives, my card can handle normal no explosives but runs at 34 FPS and potato mode 71 FPS but crashes immediately when i hit a explosive.

My card: GTX 1660 ti with Max-Q design and 6gb of Vram
16 gb RAM
I-5 9th gen running at 3.98 Ghz
P.S Dell laptop using alienware command center with high performance mode enabled.

What is your reasoning for it not working on AMD Cards? I'm just curious. The map loads and plays just fine (minus the obvious frame drops) on my 6700XT, AMDs drivers have improved massively and Teardown seems to run much better on the cards these days.

I know I keep commenting, but I love this map and play it enough to notice a lot of very strange bugs.

-The lead box car will occasionally "melt" into the floor, even with minimal damage. Using the physgun to try and stop it doesn't work, since while you can move it freely it will always snap back to the position it was in before.

-The car bridge over the river is nearly impossible to break. I think the most damage I've ever managed to do to it was tearing off one of the guardrails.Would be nice to have the joints be more rigid rather than have it flex so much..

-Freezing any part of the train, even if it’s stationary, causes the wheels to sink into the rail and stay there. I've had limited success with reseating them by using the physgun on the trucks, but they end up sinking in again before I can finish the whole train. This usually causes the couplings of the first few cars to snap, leading to the train speeding up to a ridiculous speed and crashing the game.

Some changes I would make:

-In my opinion, at least the ending area should have more realistic terrain. It should also be deeper, like you can bury the engines up to the windshield deep.

-Expanding on the bridge over the river would be awesome. I honestly prefer it to the ending derailment. Would be cool to have multiple sections like that to fill out some of the emptier stretches of the map.

-Conversely, the cars need to be made stronger. The boxcars in particular are basically made out of paper. They should still be able to destroy each other easily though, just with a little more strength so they can hold weight.

-The only flammable things on the train itself are the logs and boxes a couple cars carry. Making some components of the cars themselves flammable, especially the engines, would really add a whole new level to crashes.

I absolutely love this map, probably top three in the game over even the original. I look forward to what you do with it!

Another thing I've noticed is that the indestructible frames of the tanker cars get stuck on the ground often once the train leaves the tracks, so it might make sense to make these the same strength as the box cars.

@headphone_jack we also agree. we are working on our own chassis system that should hopefully break on derail. will take time but if this works and stops the crashes it will be used

I'd love it if the engines would stop moving their wheels once they receive a certain amount of damage, it's annoying when they start slewing around the crash site destroying the ground and everything in its path.

as a suggestion to fix the lag: make the ground into smaller segments, as well as separating the track with an unbreakable layer under it, to prevent it from causing lag by fragmenting the massive chunks of ground.

I think you add options like:
Building: on/of
Explosives: on/of
cars on the end of track: on/off
This would be better than another modes, and will definitivly improve fps

What TheninjaPostman said is something i'd appreciate aswell. It would be cool to have the option to start the train manually, so you can prepare something on the track and then start the train once its ready to go.
