I checked everything, downloaded everything again, all the file folders are in their place. Try downloading again. If it still doesn't work, try the alternative installation method linked at the end of this guide.

I have subscribed to all 3 mods but no Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\2177750 in sight...

Yes, you should install as written in the instructions, ignore the different number of VPK files for EP2, it's just that now the VPK files are split into fewer but larger files.

Just follow the instructions step by step. In short:
1. Subscribe to this mod - this will download files for EP2.
2. Install Half-Life 2: VR Mod 4X AI Textures and copy its files to Half-Life 2 VR\ep2vr folder
3. Install Half-Life 2: VR Mod - Episode One 4X AI Textures, copy its files to any folder - in order to rename its files, adding "EP1_" to the beginning of the file name. After that, move all renamed files to the Half-Life 2 VR\ep2vr folder.
