its probably not 100% accurate, the handle texture would (likely) need to stretch the existing UV horizontally as the reason it was unused was probably because Valve would need to do that to the UV to make it fit the texture better, considering how badly done the head UV was in the final game to show black spots, they probably just didnt care and opted to use the 2002 handle out of laziness, while i could attempt to refit the handle UV, i lack the proper experience to do that as a mainly texture dude with very limited modeling stuff, plus that would come at the cost of making it incompatible with reanimation mods.
