Fraternal Twins is an origin, Kleptoplastic is a trait for molluscoids.

Cool, cool, thanks for the answers. It'll be interesting to see where this mod goes!

@Baka Racker for the divergent evolution one i was going to make the other species randomized but within the same portrait category. humans would always pull from the same selection of fantasy races using the humanoids portraits.

@Baka Racker it's not possibel to modify much of the empire customization process, so we're limited to two "full choice" species. Beyond that, it's possible to script almost anything. For example, a player could pick from a pool of multiple premade species via an event, the game could could randomly pick galaxy species from pre-FTL worlds (that's how Broken Shackles works, by the way), from other empires.

Pretty much anything you can imagine is possible with enough effort, although I don't see a way to reuse the normal species customization UI.

Yeah, I thought it might be due to UI limitations with empire creation. How would you do that, would species 3 through 5 be random? Is it possible to have some kind of menu that allows you to choose from the other species that spawned in on game start, like from the other empires? I have no idea how to mod Stellaris, so I'm just throwing stuff out here.

coincidentally, i'm planning to make a divergent evolution origin, where you start with 3-5 species on the same planet. for example, if you wanted to play as future-fantasy humans alongside elves, dwarves and orcs.

@Baka Racker the reason you're limited to two is so you can customize both species from the empire creation menu. if you had any more species, they'd need to be completely random or created through a dialogue menu at game start, which might be kind of tedious.

@catboy gaming I'm guessing this would be a hard-coded limitation, but starting with three separate species or even more would be awesome! Probably OP, but in single-player that's fine.

Noice, very simple yet nice. Not all over the top!

thanks, it's a simple origin idea i didn't quite find anywhere else, so i opted to make it myself (and by myself i mean someone graciously offered to make most of it)

Ooo, I like the Fraternal Twins one!
