I am currently writing my version of Terraforming Mars and accidentally came across your addition. I haven't tried playing with it yet, but it looks interesting. Can I translate your extension and add it to my version?
(I am writing a scripted version of the game with many official and fan additions in Russian. After finishing the work, I'm going to upload it to the workshop for free, indicating the authors of the additions)

Excellent idea, this module has taken one of my least favourite parts of the game and turned it into one of my most favourite!
I love that these now build into your engine, but aren't so powerful that they feel necessary to grab early. Even the default rewards feel good to grab later in the game, but also don't feel punishing if you miss out on them completely. I'd recommend this to new and advanced players alike!
