A bit late too this item but I have been wanting a revolver for engi for a while. I love the idea of this gun. Please valve, don't ignore this, bring this into the game.

Honestly Engineer really needs a six shooter especially since he doesn't have alot of secondary weapons aside from two stock pistol reskins and two unique weapons, my only gripe with this Is how huge It Is but I would totally love to see this or any revolver for Engi

Considering the time period, as well as a revolver style weapon already existing for spy, Engi mains have been begging for a revolver, one hit/kill, one bullet style gun. This would give a new skill level for engis who can aim, although it would be broken as hell.

i always wanted engineer to have a weapon similar to the 1851 Navy revolver, very classic and nostalgic to the old western movies, it also is kinda cartoony-realistic which is what tf2 is, imagine engineer not only having a good shotgun but also a high damage revolver, it would be nice if they made a m1887 for engineer as a reskin of stock shotgun or a totally new weapon.

Fallout New Vegas

Considering this is most likely an inspiration from colt walker, a gun that became a visit card of Texas Rangers, I find this sliding to the side thing an interesting compromise. The original didn't even have any sort of break action or even conventional cartridges (you had to stuff each chamber with powder charge and a bullet).

From screenshots, it looks a bit clunky, but I like the direction. Maybe the only thing that should slide off is the cylinder, maybe with the help of a small automated mechanism, in the end, we are talking about an engineer's weapon. It is more than possible to add some small mechanic attachments frontier justice style, without breaking the vintage western feel of the gun.

The whole front of the gun sliding to the side with the cylinder is a little wack. I'd say either invest some time into a break action animation or just stick with the cylinder. Other than that, this gun looks mean as hell.

It is really a shame that Valve never gave Engie a revolver like this.

I've always wanted a big ol' western six-shooter for Engie, what could be cool is if it had a stat similar to the half-zatuichi so that engies could duel each over.

@kajzer the reload for this is using unused animations that Engineer's got for a revolver secondary; as much as workshoppers would love to add weapons with custom animations, it's easier for both workshoppers and Valve if the weapons use the base animations in the game instead of needing to import new ones for new weapons.

Weapon looks really good, but that reload... yikes. i wonder if you could make secondary that reload one bullet at a time (like a shotgun) and still be balanced/fun to use.

a nice revolver indeed. its about time to see a tf2 version of a Remington Model Army.
