Exclude SHIV from Augmentations?
The mod by adding the blacklist way to operate, "+ CharacterTemplateBlacklist ="
This is usually found in the "RequiredCharacterClass=" line of classdata.ini.
But this mod doesn't have that line and I don't know how to look for it.

As for the GTS thing that is another mod breaking something as I cannot put SHIVs into the GTS for my game. SHIVs in this mod do not rank up, so even if another mod let's you rank them up it wont do anything.
Finally no you cannot change their appearance, SHIVs current models are not able to be customized like normal soldiers. This cannot be done for a number of technical reasons.
First question: I noticed that in the Guerrilla Tactics School, you can train a shiv for 5 days to obtain Upgrade 1. 5 days later, nothing happened, as far as I can tell. (Simple stat boost?) Is there anything to this upgrade or is that leftover code and doesn't do anything more? Additionally, the name of the SHIV still reads Base Lightning SHIV. Was the name supposed to change?
Second question: Would it be possible to apply colors and patterns to them like you can do on SPARKS?
Btw, I also read on your description to not use shivs on Lost missions, and yet I have done so twice in my current campaign and there were zero issues. My Scout SHIV just mowed down Lost left, right and centre and I encountered no bugs or crashes of any kind.
I never ported anything before, let alone SFM
(I would have loved to see the hover shiv but also it's laser and plasma shiv guns)

the blacksite vial made sense due to the cutscene to me, but I guess it also reaches to applying X4 or marking supply crates during that encounter.
First, thank you for bringing back these awesome SHIVs into the game again. So wonderful to see them on the field of battle again. :)
Couple of very minor things as feedback.
1. Any chance we can apply colors and Patterns to them like SPARKS?
2. I notice that the turret swirling sound always plays every time any enemy unit in range moves. It can really get annoying fast. Curious to know if there is some way to make it stop playing that sound file on any enemy movement? It got very egregious on a Lost mission with over 50+ zombies on the field.
Other than that, truly love the fact you added jump jets to these SHIVs so they can navigate the battlefield even more smoothly than XCOM EU. Nice touch. :)
