The locos spawn without a name 'cos you have a choice of names. To select a name point at the loco in the game (you see the Q,F & E options pop up). Say you want 'Winston Churchill' - Press 'Shift' and '1' together. This toggles the nameplates and numbers for Winston Churchill. If you want to change the name, you need to toggle the current one off and toggle the new one on.
Shift + 1: 34051 ‘Winston Churchill’
Shift + 2: 34066 ‘Spitfire’
Shift + 3: 34077 ‘603 Squadron’
Shift + 4: 34081 ’82 Squadron’
The headboard and lights options work in the same way.
Hope this helps!
a) can't find my earlier posts?
b) have found them but don't understand how they work in the game?
I hate to admit that I'm slightly disappointed in their size though, where they fit well with your other mods they don't exactly look right next to any other UK rolling stock. That's rolling line though
Keep up the good work though!!!
For those of us who grew up in southern England after WW2 these locos, designed by SR’s Chief Mechanical Engineer, O S V Bulleid, with their ‘air-streamed’ casings were an icon of progress – their appearance earning them the nickname of ‘spam cans’. They were a lighter version of the Merchant Navy Class Pacifics, produced towards the end of the war, and were required because the Merchant Navy’s were found to be too heavy to service the routes west of Exeter, which served the growing coastal resorts of Bude, Padstow, Ilfracombe, Dartmouth and others. The Light Pacifics power made them very successful in their principal role of hauling express passenger services.
I’ve used the ‘custom model’ feature to give you a choice of loco names:
Shift + 1: 34051 ‘Winston Churchill’
Shift + 2: 34066 ‘Spitfire’
Shift + 3: 34077 ‘603 Squadron’
Shift + 4: 34081 ’82 Squadron’
The following headboards and traffic discs/lights are available for all the locos:
Shift + 8: ‘Atlantic Coast Express’
Shift + 9: ‘Golden Arrow’
The lights for each are:
L + 1: ‘Atlantic Coast Express’
L + 2: ‘Golden Arrow’
BR livery standards were introduced somewhat erratically, so the SR version of the tender has an option to display either:
Shift + 1: ‘SOUTHERN’
Shift + 2: ‘BRITISH RAILWAYS’
You are free to make adaptations but please credit me if you upload anything that uses or adapts any of my workshop items.
Enjoy and 'Keep Rolling'!
