Update 2: I wish there was edit functionality. A restart solved the issue for... some reason. I'm looking forward to playing this now!

Update: I have the same issue on mission 9 which I thought was weird. I just tried loading 7 and again the same issue. I completed 7 literally yesterday, so I have no idea what's going on right now. Anyway the problem is with my install and not the map.

I've been loving these missions! Really great work! Unfortunately for whatever reason this mission fails to load for me. All of the previous ones have been fine. It seems like the map either requires heavy processing or there's a stuck loop.

The progress bar stops right at the end of the word "LOADING".

It may be an issue on my end or perhaps game changes have causes issues with this map.

Refined Rig 4 bug attack parameters.
Patched pathing issues with pipes.
Expanded trigger area for Brain Bug Hunt, and added audible prompt for a brain bug.

Thanks for the report of the "Kill the local brain bug via alternate route", I'll make the trigger radius bigger, maybe even give an indication like "My brain is on fire!" like STTA. I'll look into oil rig 4's tile blocking, but I think that would be low priority given how risky it would be to potentially lose an engineer / how others would probably not think of that. great find though! I'll review for a fix!

Also just FYI a cheating player could go turn off oilfields in the south and cheat to get to oilfield 4 as you called it (you can get between the end of the pipes and the flames with an engineer squad) and then go into the canyons from the wrong side both killing the brain before the northern oilfields and before they trigger the objective to kill the local brain.

If that happens too many times before the brain bug was killed it would ruin a player's day. I remember facing exactly that issue in SSTTA, if you didn't get that brain quickly the spawned spitters and plasma bugs that rush you and could stun your troops with the ohh, my brain is on fire thing could cost you valuable squad members.

Amazing work, I was surprised you got the burning oilfields working on this one. It's a shame STTC players will never know the fear of facing an actual brain bug without a MIST suit, those psychic attacks were nasty. However if you wanted to add to the difficulty you could potentially add a bughole next to the brain bug as per original and add triggers for if brain bug = alive and northern oilfields not burning spawn attack waves of spitters, tigers and maybe even plasma granadiers that hunt the current troop locations of the players squad (or just swarm out that direction through the northern oilfield and into the middle of the map if they don't encounter any resistance.

fun mission if i could make a suggestion someone said to add a big wave to maybe make it more difficult i would suggest maybe adding it at the end when you go to the retrieval zone

Great work as always. Cool mission, but I felt this one was way easier than previous one, I didn't take a single casualty. Maybe add some tigers, another tanker or a big wave after each repair is done?
