making stock bet paintable is an awful idea that'll ruin Scout's melee weapon reginition.

I like the idea but clearly most war paints were not made with the stock bat in mind so it looks awful with most war paints and I would not like to see those bats in the game.

Out of all the weapons that could've been warpaintable, you picked one that hardly anyone uses, that already has a dirt cheap strange variant (no point in using a stat clock for a cheaper strange), and it has a reskin that's already warpaintable.

There are some things better left undone…

Recognition is an issue. Scout melee unlocks like the Sandman and Atomizer are only recognisably different from the stock bat through their colours, especially within an actual match. There are some skins here that could be mistaken with those weapons that I consider this as a bad idea, not to mention how it might react to future additional warpaints. My theory is that this reasoning is why Valve decided against adding the Ambassador warpaints as well.

Most of them look ugly as hell, also as a person before me pointed out, this is not a "community fix" but a concept for something that isn't in the game. Also also, Natasha would be a bad idea due to it being just the stock minigun model with an ammo belt that would be barely visible if painted.

Also also also, we already have the fish, and it's 1000x better than the bat.

some skins look horrible and on some looks great. mixed opinion.

I like this and it might as well be in the game, but I think another bat should've been, mainly bc not that many people use the stock bat compared to other melee's. Like the wrap assassin or the atomizer.

If it was up to me, I would stick to Valve-made weapons for the game for now. Flare Gun, Force-a-Nature, Eyelander, Natascha, Direct Hit, any weapon that was made by Valve for the game (excluding promotional weapons too).

Glad to see so many people like this idea! I plan on doing a bunch more weapons in the future, including the AWPer Hand, Widowmaker, and Natascha, though I want to see if the Bat gets in first before I get to work on more of these.

I beg you on my knees, do this for the Natasha. I love the Natasha but only my other two guns (Stock and Tommy) can be Australium and warpaintable. While it most likely won't get an australium version, I don't see why the Natasha can't be warpaintable, since it is very similar to Stock. Please
