Hello!

This mod is currently in maintenance only due to me having other projects I am prioritizing more. All of my mods are currently not at newest version and so are marked outdated, but should still function. Once I have time again and am back to a computer with my unity installed I will be going through and updating them all.

Will this mod be receiving any updates?

People very often get protocol 3 (outlawing use of incendiary weapons on civilian populace and on vegetation with exception for vegetation concealing combatants or military objects) with a full ban on flamethrowers. This is similarly supported by the mentality that any 'cruel or inhumane' weapon (that flamethrowers assuredly fall into) would be banned. But this isn't the case.

We see flamethrowers being used up to today in Ukraine by combatants. However, they are still very morally questionable to use.

Thank you for taking the time to write about this, I only have the 'no war-crime' disclaimer because I know people are going to be immature. Actual discussion over it is fine in my book.

Sorry to bring up war crimes but the usage of incendiary weapons like flamethrowers is not against the Geneva Convention nor any subsequent treaty, while you obviously cant use them against civilians, usage against enemy combatants is allowed by international law. While one could make the argument that incendiaries are inhumane, the CCWC, responsible for outlining weapons that are indiscriminate or excessively injurious,only forbids incendiaries in use against or close to civilians, and subsequently allows them.

This is not meant to be a joke about war crimes, it is meant to educate people about what is and isn't a war crime.

Hypergolic systems are what we use for rocket engines in the real world. They do burn in a vacuum because the reaction creates its own oxygen to burn. While I doubt you could realistically get this kind of range out of such a system, most rocket engines dont produce a plume that goes very far, considering our universe has drag it is possible that there is some form of atmosphere that would allow for the flame to propagate much further. As such while it is unlikely that this form of system would work in the real world, it is theoretically possible. Especially if you develop some way to get them to mix only on contact with a surface.

I'm not going to even touch the warcrime thing, what I care about is the science. Would such a weapon even realistically work?

I understand that flamethrowers are a morally dubious weapons platform, however since it is my mod and no one else did it, I reserve the right to moderate my own comment section. I am not going to come for you if you make jokes elsewhere, but on something that has my name attacked I reserve that right.

I am not making you say edgy warcrime jokes, that is entirely up to an individual and if they feel the need to make such jokes I do not particularly want to see them

War is horrific and terrible, there is a reason warcrime jokes are against the nebulous discord servers rules despite the fact you can still shoot the lifepods. I am simply following in a similar mindset.
