As someone who absolutely adores building medieval cosmetic sets on classes, I'd kill to have this in game, I know a lot of people would argue it doesn't fit but fuck it, It looks amazing.

People who bitch about cosmetics being too big or changing a class' silhouette too much must be actually braindead. Even if it does you would still be able to instantly tell which one it is based on their weapons and animations, if you can't that says more about your level of competence and perception than it does the quality of the cosmetic.

Anyway rant aside, this looks fucking phenomenal.

I love my dark souls references

1). This cosmetic has no team recognition problems.
2). Its well-modeled and looks good. I can also see it combine pretty well with other items.
3). Its a Dark Souls reference, and one that fits Pyro.

Even if i saw a Pyro on the opposite team wearing this. i would still know its Pyro. Because i'm fully aware of his Animations, Model and the Weapons he uses. No other class in the game uses a Flamethrower or Fireaxe.

Pyro's had so many head replacements over the years that've been zanier than this one, and noone's had any issue with class recognition with them.

I think you're just coping way too hard here.

The claims of this being an issue for class recognition is something that's always brought up and it's never right, so I'm not even going to bother going into that, but saying this doesn't belong in TF2 is an incredibly narrow-sighted claim that's ignoring all the content that's come before this cosmetic.

The claim about this not fitting TF2 is a stretch, because medieval-themed content has been a part of this game's life essence for well over a decade at this point:

A good chunk of TF2's weapons are medieval in theme, which is primarily the melee weapons everyone gets with 90% of them belonging to Demoman.

All the classes have been getting medieval-themed cosmetics in for years at this point; hell, Pyro has an entire knight set already in the game that this helmet pairs beautifully with.

Even though this gamemode's pretty much abandoned by Valve, Medieval Mode is still worth addressing, because that one's fun to mess around with in a primarily 1st-person-shooter title and that a good chunk of the community wants.
