@Cerb Makes sense. If I could request, could submods be made for The Old World and Mixu's Legendary Lords?
Cerb  [author] 25 Aug, 2024 @ 2:54pm
Sadly yeah it would need a submod
Barracuda 24 Aug, 2024 @ 2:52pm
@Alan I am aware of the normal version but it states the same line at the bottom that it needs submods

Have you had any success making this mod and your other battle mods universal? The only downside to your amazing mods is having to ignore larger unit mods like Sigmar's Heir's
Alan 10 Jul, 2024 @ 7:53am
Yep you made that one for me <3

Looking through my other mods, I also have dynamic difficulty which ALSO buffs AI income and growth, so combined with Zach's mod...geez.

Anyways, going to try another campaign without so many stacked AI bonuses and see if I can use your mod without 20 trillion enemy armies.

All that said, it might still be cool to have a +/- for high leadership in addition to the ones for low leadership.

Only by 30%, most of zac's are 50-100% upkeep reduction, and i have a special version for radious that doesnt reduce upkeep at all (since upkeep in radious is in general far lower)
Alan 9 Jul, 2024 @ 3:45pm
Yeah, I was using your difficulty scaling when I was in my last Radious campaign. Doesn't it have a similar issue, however, since it lowers AI upkeep?
Cerb  [author] 9 Jul, 2024 @ 3:08pm
Yeah i never really liked his difficulty mods, they just make it a slog really, if youre not already i'd suggest my scaling difficulty mod instead, it tackles it in different, less boring ways
Alan 9 Jul, 2024 @ 7:56am
Yeah...one of the AI mods (Zach's difficulty series) lowers AI upkeep AND increases AI income, the combination of which probably heavily contributes to the problem, but it also does a bunch of other things I like and want to keep. It's a struggle.
Cerb  [author] 9 Jul, 2024 @ 5:44am
Yeah one of the reasons my scaling difficulty mod doesnt affect upkeep so much is because it just creates a chore, not difficulty imo, would suggest if youre not already :)
Alan 8 Jul, 2024 @ 4:44pm
Yeah, battles are pretty easy with Nuln once you've maxed everything out, but I still can't actually win the campaign. Eventually I get swarmed by dozens of chaos armies (seriously, 8-10 per faction from multiple sides) at once. I find it difficult to feel like I need to increase difficulty as I'm simultaneously unable to do more than barely survive by lightning striking 10-15 armies per turn...

Admittedly, this might be in part because I have too many difficulty/AI mods which affect AI army upkeep and military spending :D. Still working on figuring out the perfect mod setup.

I would suggest using factionwide and army caps (if youre not already), if youre finding your doomstacks are too easy.

I might add something similar to overconfidence, ill have to see what tools we have available and see what might fit.

I will say though, you in one sentence say that the game feels about right, but then also say that almost nothing actually reaches your lines. That definitely doesn't feel right to me :)

For a comparison, in my games i constantly have units running away, regrouping and coming back to the fight, almost every ones of my fights (outside of settlements/cleanup) is a Pyrrhic victory, and often have units holding out against insurmoutable for long periods of time, allowing me to pump more damage into their attackers from whatever units i can find :) i have almost zero fights where the enemy doesnt even reach my line, and if i was, i would definitely feel that i was steamrolling too hard and it needed to be turned up.
Alan 7 Jul, 2024 @ 12:02pm
While I'll say that part of it is that I'm currently playing Elspeth, and if an enemy even reaches your lines you're doing it wrong, but even for other factions the only ones I can remember where an endgame army every had leadership even be worth thinking about was VC and TK.

In any event, I do feel like it would be both useful and thematically consistent to have an "above X% morale" setting where units were eager and overconfident, resulting in high vigor or something like that.

Really, I'd just like the leadership auras on characters to be something worth getting. To me they're essentially dump stats.
Alan 7 Jul, 2024 @ 6:12am
I play on H/H but modified with a whole bunch of additional difficulty mods which feels about right.
My frontline is Amethyst/Nuln Ironsides with 120 leadership, 185/140 armor, 70/60MD, and the "Cannot Die" passive plus 4 Empire Captains and their corresponding 4 sets of summoned officers as an additional buffer in front of them. Even if something DOES reach them (and that virtually never happens), they are virtually unkillable and pretty much always winning the fight against whatever they're fighting.

I could go to VH but I don't really see my doomstack results changing much.
Cerb  [author] 6 Jul, 2024 @ 9:38pm
Gotta be honest, if youre never experiencing units get to lower leadership outside of the early game, you should probably bump up the difficulty :)
Alan 6 Jul, 2024 @ 2:05pm
So, a thought. This makes loss of leadership matter for early game and low leadership armies, but it doesn't really make leadership matter in most situations. IE, most of the +leadership and +aura size skills remain utterly worthless since most mid-late game armies never really have low leadership (especially with your veteran mod, which I also use).

Would you be willing to add something for HIGH leadership? Nothing game breaking, but maybe something like +vigor when above 70% or something due to being enthusiastic?
Cerb  [author] 30 Jul, 2023 @ 8:08pm
Sadly not possible as far as i know. If you know how let me know :).
Iron 30 Jul, 2023 @ 6:42pm
nice mod thanks - just to ask if you would consider a 2 stack of same buffs to cluttering up units bar.
