I'm not assuming common critique is bad critique. There's a handful of workshop commenters that have popped up recently that are just here to gatekeep and get shitty over minor details without actually giving meaningful critique, or to exaggerate something that really isn't that big of a deal, like cosmetics changing merc silhouettes slightly or god forbid being paintable. Getting upset over an emblem change is ridiculous for reasons already mentioned by others.

I'm with Extra Ram on this one. i don't see a point compaining over an emblem you'd barely be able to notice from a distance.

You are supposed to recognize the character by Design, Voicelines, Animations & the Weapons they use. Etc.

And like i said on anoter item. i would only have a problem with the emblem for these two reasons:
1: If the Class icon of another Merc is on it(Like if you put Soldier's Class Emblem on Medic)
2: If its some sort of offensive symbol.

Everyone's entitled to their opinions and are open to critique whatever they desire, but at the same time, just because people like to say the same thing over and over doesn't mean folks aren't allowed to get clarification or even correct people when they spread misinformation.

I've heard maybe one reason why some people are against the emblems being changed and they claim that it messes with class recognition, which doesn't make a lick of sense because:

- All the classes in TF2 are designed to be recognisable from a distance, and there's no way you'd be able to make out a patch on someone's arm from that far away.

- Only 6 of the 9 classes actually have an emblem present on their arm, with Scout, Engineer & Spy being the ones that don't.

-Emblems being changed for cosmetics has been a thing for years at this point and has never been cause for concern, with some even getting into the game, but all of the sudden it's now the wrong thing to do and workshoppers shouldn't do that?

I agree with the emblem thing, the emblem is to represent the class and makes no sense when you use it to represent the cosmetic. I'd prefer if it wasn't there, but I'm not going to vote no because of it because this is a really nice set. Point below me is also just catastrophically bad, you shouldn't automatically assume that a common critique is a bad critique

The only reason people whine about class emblems is because they don't know how to give actual criticism, so they just regurgitate complaints they saw someone else give. Same thing with "team recognition", "team colored", "messes with the silhouette", etc.

90% of Medic's team recognition is in his gloves, anyway.

Also what's wrong with changing the class emblems? It's something I keep seeing pop up as the next hottest thing to bring up, but I've never heard a reason that makes any sense.

on revision nevermind that comment about the team recognition since you have red and blu versions.

Looks neat, but i dont like the class icon being replaced with a compass on the shoulder. maybe, and this is my opinion, itd look better somewhere else on the misc like the front pockets or belt or something.
also the team recognition is limited to the icon and the medics gloves, which arent always visible from certain angles when the medic holds certain weapons
