It's not a real exploit in that it is almost as hard to find as the true solution I think, but with the normal cube on the button, you're able to aim 2 white surfaces (on "first" and "second" platform) through the gap. With the lazer cube redictering the ray at 90° on the first one, you can then switch multiple times between them to activate/deactivate the receiver and therefore the emancipation grids. Bit tricky I suppose, but on the first time I thought it was the actual solution. (yet it only works if you have the second cube already, which was possible by throwing it like @Syntaxeror explained; and sorry for the flood but I really really like what you're doing :)
I know the gap you are talking about and i definitely did not intend that you can shoot through it. However I don‘t see how it can help you with the puzzle. Could you elaborate more on the exploit you found?
There is a little exploit though:
Between the two emancipation grids, behind the button, there is a little gap in the wall allowing to shoot portals and cross the area without using the trick with the redirection cube and the button.
I just tried it and you are absolutely correct. Also yes, it does not help you at all solving the puzzle because you skip a move that you need to do twice anyways. So the cheesers will actually get punished for doing that :P
Anyways, I will keep the map like that for now, but will look to not miss that kind of stuff in the future. Thanks for telling me!
Also, thank you very much. I am glad you enjoyed it so far :)
It is possible to throw the plain cube across the gap and get it on the button without the second light bridge. I don't feel like it removes a part of the puzzle but thought you might want to know.
I caught on the mechanic faster than your first solo map but it is just as great ! Keep up the good work !
