I suppose the real issue is the folks I play with are very good at the game and meta gamers. We play on the hardest difficulties and thus I feel pressure to invest in a race that has a better trait than to play what I actually want.

You can accept that goats have a lower power innate trait that comes from a mod and cost you nothing to invest in, ye.

I think that's the point @Bust-E-Pona. The races themselves are meant to be distinct and some are strategically better than others.

I really wish this mod just let you pick which trait for which race because I don't want to always play dogs but they get the 13% flank bonus which... at least for me, has always been the best. It is very annoying.

Do effects have cap? I mean, simian have +50% morale gain. Does it stack with cheerful trait thus my army has +100% morale gain?

Hey i have abug that some forms dont show tooltip and some forms dont even give the bonus. Any way to fix it? I already tried puttin on the top of the mod list and at the bottom but the bug remains.

I find it curious how some of these traits are about "half" you would get with a 1 point pick, but others (like rats) are 100%

Dwarves only get +1 def and res when in defence formation. Lizards get +1 def always.

why pick Lizardfolk over Dwarfkin? Dwarves also have 1 defence but get resistance too. I feel Lizardfolk should get another bonus

But as fair as I understand the "effect" remain the same: +1 Defense for Lizard and +1 Resistance for Ogrekin.

I know it just released the Open beta, but just to let you know I tried to start with this mod, and kinda break the Lizardfolk and Ogrekin description of what they gain. Probably because the changes in Tough and Resitant traits.

Simian +50% morale seems stronger than the rest? In my personal experience at least. Makes it really easy to quickly hit high crit chances when paired with the bloodfury tome spells.

Yes, that is how it works. You get the form bonus in addition to your usual selectable picks.

Am I understanding this right, the mod gives these races these traits innately in addition to what we pick for the other three traits?

So, just in case you can't get this to work for the new forms: Uninstall and reinstall the mod. Just letting the workshop and launcher auto-update things for you can be a bit glitchy.

Hellooo! The new races are up, I think something like move through allied units for simians and more morale damage or more damage against low morale for the ogrekin would be fitting and different! Up to you, as always. Thanks!

Since the update, non-English players have had issues with the mod being used
where the display is only in English
(for example, the game displays Korean in English)
Please roll back to the previous vision

Some suggestions:

Simian: +6% Evasion +1 Status Resistance

Oni: +4 Hit Points +1 Status Resistance

The bonus of Goatkin basicly does not exist, starting a new game with a goatkin faction and no other form trait selected makes them take 16 movement on mountains still.

Figured I'd post a comment about it since any other interaction (save for maybe Insectoid+Cold Hearted trait, double dipping the bonus) I tested seemed to work fine.

On the side, I love that this mod makes form choice actually matter outside of achievements.

Such a cool mod! It brings to the game some taste of the previous parts and makes form to be more than just skin. Have you ever thought to return old terrain-depending moral level for each form or/and major transformation? Like each form has 1 preferrable kind of terrain and one which it hates. Also, It`s really strange that frostlings which are literally made of ice can walk and live on ashen plains without any penalties and some for other transformations.

Great Mod, very cool. Just wanted to point out one very minor typo in the Goatkin description in game, the 8 is missing from the sentence "Cliffs costs 8 Movement points instead of 16".

This. This is what AoW4 needed. The forms are at this point reskins with glued to them traits. Now I will feel like I'm playing a Human, Dwarf, Elf, Orc and so on even if I change the starting traits.

Argh, doesn't seem to work with the DLC. I can run the game with any mods but this one makes multiplayer not work, and running just this and all vanilla also won't work.

I don't think I'll be returning to modding full time, and a lot of my current mods are going to become (and remain) deprecated in the next patch, but I think I will update this mod since it's pretty simple
