I'm not sure if this still works. I've noticed npc builder ships hanging around my HQ for no reason even with this mod installed.

@Invidious [64 RUS] they just float around like any other builder but they don't accept AI build requests, nearly half of the total pool of XL builders are player only for each faction in vanilla

Wait, the AI actually keeps some in reserve for the player to rent? I had no idea because I am usually hunting them endlessly trying to find and available one. "If" I run across one it's usually busy working for the AI. Is there a specific location that the factions park them in?

That mod you never thought you needed. Thank you. So this explains the builders that keep roaming your sectors. Sometimes I can see 4 to 5 of them from different sectors and wondered why that is.
