Fixed Metropolis Masters. No more cities :)
Some balance changes to weak traits like Arachnid Breeders.

To fix Metropolis Masters incorrectly being able to convert Outposts into Cities, do the following:

1. In the game's directory open ResourceED.exe
2. Hit "File" -> "Open..." and navigate to "steamapps\workshop\content\1669000\2973558146", pick "So Many Society Traits.rpk"
3. Wait a while for it to open
4. In "Category" dropdown choose "SMST - Scripts"
5. Select "Metropolis Masters - Trigger Script" and look for a field "Trigger Script" in the "Editor" section on the right.
6. Hit the yellowish square, and you will see some code. One line will be crossed out and marked with a gray square, while the rest will be red.
7. With a right-mouse button click on that line, open a context menu and hit "Enable"
8. Press Ctrl+S to save your changes, its done

It seems that at some point KingofApples was bug testing MM and disabled this line, but forgot to enable it before uploading.

hello, i have some problems with the ancient druids trait. First the forest temple when built in a snow city, it will add forests however it will also change the terrain into grassland, sometimes even adding swamp to some tiles.
Secondly researching terraforming spells with this trait selected. It just makes the spells disappear.. i researched "enchanting bloom" and it isnt on my spellbook. Weird interactions.

The terraforming aspect of the Ancient Druids and Harbingers of Ruin, don't work anymore. Could you please fix this.

The Ancient Druids trait is extremely underwhelming since there's already forest terraforming spells in the tier 2 tome. The temple should give a Knowledge income instead of Food, and the Foresters should give an additional Knowledge income in top of their other bonuses.
Even with these buffs, the trait still wouldn't hold a candle against the strong traits (like Chosen Uniters, Ancient Wise Ones, Gifted Casters or Hermit Kingdom). You still have to pick a green Tome if you're doing anything in forests regardless, and they already give you the forest terrain advantages and terraforming.
At least this way the trait would combine thematically with the other mod's grove tenders trait. Just run the numbers on how many forests you'd need at +2 Knowledge each to make even a tenth of the impact that just Ancient Wise Ones gives over the course of a given game length.

The Broodling Spiders from the Arachnid Breeders do not seem to evolve into Broodmother, it says that they evolve, but I see nothing to tell me what they evolve into at Champion rank. Is this mod not receiving any more updates?

Oh, something that's been on my mind - could you make the Adaptation traits (Desert / Arctic / Water / Underground) into society traits? It feels like they should be to begin with.

The Harbinger of Ruin seems to turn mountain to ashland during terraforming, and it look weird, is it possible to make it so that the terraforming does not change the mountain?

Finally, if you're interested~ some other trait ideas I had:
Pyrofanatiscism: (Chaos) "They have an obsession with fire, which bleeds into their rituals and lifestyle. And they're very good at bending it to their will." Blacksmith and Lightforge buildings provides +5 Production. Can always build Ritual Pyre Improvement, and it provides +5 Draft in addition to usual effects. Razes cities in -1 Less Turns. +1 Rank for Battlemage & Elemental units. Starts with 1 Lesser Magma Spirit.

Cut-Throat Politics: (Dark) "They enjoy being cunning and malicious with each other, and political schemes are rampant, usually ending with murder." Cities have an additional -2 Stability per Province Annexed. For each Stability level a city is below Neutral, it generates +2 Imperium, and +5 Gold. Heroes, and your ruler, start with +1 Level.

Don't know how possible they are.

Also as there are 2 other mods that already have big Animal Traits (More Societal Traits and Guardians of Nature), you may want to consider Ancient Druids actually buffing Plants for a bit of variety (maybe +20% Experience Gain and +2 Resistance on them, or something like that).

I like these ideas. I'll consider those changes for the next update. Should be soon-ish. The unique icons for sure are coming. Not an artist myself and working on getting some AI art on it

Also a different icon for Ancient Druids; it shows up directly below Adept Settlers with the same icon which doesn't look so good. The Animate Flora icon or maybe Projectiles of Decay would work for a Druid theme (both showing hands over plants).

I would probably remove the free Lightbringer from Priestly Defenders when you update, it's not normally available until a T2 tome for good reason. Convert access by Turn 7-10 before anything much has Status Resistance is pretty insane.

There's also no guarantee you'll pick Order tomes just because you pick an Order trait, so I would make this just give a Cultural Support unit (they are 'priests' of the faction in any case, and if I'm playing Dark/Feudal/High/Mystic, that's a super decent boost).

I would also give Harbingers of Ruin [Desolate-Walk] so they aren't gimped movement wise in their own territory.

Finally, Arachnid Breeders would be fine if the 5 World Map Regen on spiders applied globally. You might also consider an interaction with Spider Mounts trait?

Harbingers of Ruin feels weak. Maybe allow us to build Farms on Ashlands instead? Alternatively, maybe each province turned into Desolate / Ashlands gives your closest city a boost of Food / Production, to fuel your cities with destruction.

Bug Report:
Broodlings don't evolve when they reach champion rank, it seems to be missing the effect on the champion rank itself

Suggestion,

1. add a upgraded version of the forest temple, might be multiple steps before you can get it, the chief benefit of the upgraded temple is that it adds 1 Forrest every turn. (So it is on par with other such domain terraforming abilities)

2. Probably the same for ritual sites

I am unsure what exactly I can provide as info to help fix this. But it seems to be a conflict between optional cosmetic transformations and this mod. (Sadly, it still crashes on load, even with the the optional cosmetic transformations mod disabled)
