@algernon Hi, help me decide what is this with the list of mods? If I don't launch the save game, some mods are not displayed in the settings and stop working.

@Dimoxinil What you could try is exporting props and decals with Move It from your original save, then make a duplicate save with props and decals deleted. Try using this converter to create a new (third) save file, and then re-import the Move It export.

So I tried this and it worked not that bad. The good: props and decals seem all there, PO seems unaffected. Bad: decals are all shifted by a bit. Not much but visually very obvious. Also all props above or below the ground went back to ground (even if I load with the option of pulling props below ground up to ground off). So the city is recoverable, but it will take me hours to fix all that. Still, better than a permanently broken save.
Is there anything I could have done differently to prevent these issues? thx

@algeron I followed the instructions and performance wise there seem to be no problems, but somehow all my POs disappeared. Any ideas how to fix that?

@LifiRov That sounds like the Steam Workshop's "randomly delete downloaded items even though you're still subscribed" bug that was introduced in the last Steam Workshop update.

There's not really much that can be done other than using Skyve to create and manage collections and make sure that they're all downloaded before you start the game.

Yay, Steam Workshop - demonstrating, once again, why we really need a better alternative for future games....

@algernon Hello again, I'm having problems with the game again... I haven't played the game for about a month and when I went into the save I discovered missing buildings. I didn’t delete them, they just disappeared, I checked my subscriptions, everything is there. The brushes also disappeared, they simply disappeared wherever there was asphalt.

@xXSWAGNEMITE#YOLO420Xx Have you tried adjusting the visibility settings in Tree Control and Prop Control? You might be trying to render more detail than your computer can handle.

@ LifiRov Looks like there are still some missing assets there. Things like 2576804675.Three-Lane Asym Highway (1+2), 1285201733.58m Parking Lot, 1303772884.58m Poorly Maintained Parking, just to start (there are many others).

Once you've got all the missing network prefabs subscribed then I think you should be fine. But it keeps coming back to that. I'm not sure why they're not showing up as missing assets in your assets report, but at this point I think you're beyond my help.

Try the support section at the Cities: Skylines reddit Discord - there are people there who are much more experienced than I at resolving these things.

@LifiRov Most of what I can see is the lack of networks - when a network is missing, it will often trigger a whole sequence of errors. Even if something else is going wrong, it's hard to spot due to the errors caused by the missing networks. Subscribe to them and try again; if it's still not working post your log from after the networks are back in, and it should be easier to work out what's going wrong.

@algernon It’s strange, I played before this problem with the same error in the lack of these roads, but then I had nothing except just a window about the disadvantage, everything worked. Now the game doesn’t work there at all, maybe there’s something else there? It just seems like the report there shows that a lot of resources are not working, and not just a couple of metro roads

@algernon I checked all network resources, checked the files again, nothing helped. Everything is the same, just half the map is missing. t seems like some assets are not loading for me, but for some reason checking the files does not help, they are either deleted or not downloaded.
I still need help.

@LifiRov A quick look at your log shows a LOT of missing assets, including network assets. Missing networks is what's breaking things for you.

@algernon In short, the game is broken and an error says that there are some files missing. No checks helped, neither Steam nor Skyve. At startup, half of the map seems to be cut off, buildings stand on one part, and on the other there are only inhabitants in the air and a zero level of the ground surface.
When you unpause, another part of the map is loaded, but time stops completely.

@algernon Hello, please help me, it's not about this mod, I just have no one to ask for help. I have a problem starting the game, there are a lot of errors, Skyve is silent. @eons Luna It's recommended that you only subscribe to this when it's actually being used. So once you've converted your save, unsubscribe. You can always resubscribe if you need it later for any other saves.

Do I still need this once I have subscribed to the replacement mods, loaded my save, and then saved over it? Or will this still be needed for any save file that once relied on the EML mod?

@LifiRov Trees are a very separate issue; make sure you're using Tree Controller if you were previously using Tree Anarchy, or you'll have disappearing trees. That's nothing to do with this mod, though, so if you have any tree-related issues then comment over on the Tree Controller page.

As for music, no idea without being able to see your output log (but that won't be a prop/tree related issue - the first step is to check your mods with Skyve to see if any issues).

@algernon I did everything successfully according to the instructions. The objects were successfully transferred to the new save. There is a problem with trees and for some reason with music, there is an error in the console. I understand that I solved the problem with EML, but is there something about trees and their anarchy?

@WTC1973 IF everything works as it should , yes. Unfortunately sometimes EML doesn't save things cleanly.

As always, the only way to get a definitive answer for your specific case is to just try it (obviously, not on the only copy of your save).

If I'm reading this right, if I unsub from EML without subscribing to this, all it'll do is lack prop data from EML and not do anything to break my saves?

@LifiRov No restrictions. To do this:
1. Load your (old) save with EML active.
2. Use Move It's marquee tool to select all props (and only props, use the filter) on the map.
3. In Move It's tools menu (button with three dots), use the Export function to export the prop data to an xml file.
4. Unsubscribe EML, subscribe this mod, do the EML removal, unsubscribe this mod.
5. In your new (EML-removed save), select all props on the map with Move It and delete them.
6. In Move It's tools menu, use the Import function to import the prop data you exported earlier.

@algernon Now I checked all the Prop Control settings, no matter how I set the settings, all the props that intersect with buildings simply seem to be missing, I move them to an empty space, but they are not displayed. The rest of the props are in place, although not all are at the correct height. There are also those that you change in height, but they return back to their original height.

@LifiRov It sounds as though you may not have set the correct loading options for Prop Control. Did you make sure that you selected the 'unhide' option for props covered by buildings?

@algernon Yes, there is a problem, my props that intersect with buildings are not displayed even at ground level. The same problem with trees, maybe because prop control is not worth it? And about the rest, is it possible not to the ground level, but to the one at which they were, I just have a lot above the ground level, for example, on bridges and roofs.

@algernon I don’t know about the extended property buffer with EML, I just discovered all the props after following the instructions, but like some, they are underground. And with trees, I think that because of EML, other mods responsible for trees do not work.

Hello, I have a similar problem with EML to many here. The game works partially with EML, the prop control does not work, but all the props are in place, there is still a problem with the trees, they simply disappear in the place where anarchy is used. I decided to try changing EML to Remove EML, I did everything according to the instructions, but after loading the save after everything, I saw that some props remained, but most were missing, the same thing about the trees. What to do, tell me?

@𝒜𝒹𝓇𝑒𝒩 That sounds very much like you've got a broken asset that's breaking rendering - typically it's a prop or building. It can be fixed by locating and removing the offending asset, but the bad news is there's no easy way to identify which one it is (although most likely a recent subscription, there's always the chance it's something you've always had but only just placed in your city).

Any idea why my props and trees disappear and certain objects start flickering after I load in? I used the EML Remover mod and went through the whole process fine a few weeks ago however lately my saves are bugged

@algernon did you look at my save game link? please, do you have any idea where the problem could be? if it is necessary to publish my output log, please let me know where to do it, because steam will remove it here again. anyway, I would like to unsubscribe EML and prop anarchy and other outdated mods and migrate to your prop control and anothers, but I need to solve the issue with missing props and also the fact that the remaining props are at different heights, as I wrote last time. please try to help me.
