I think i know what the Helium 1 and 2 can be used for. Azimuth fusion reactors. Its realistic.
Screaming Angels  [author] 27 Jun, 2015 @ 3:41pm
Potassium was briefly used for one of the components (I'd have to check my old files for which one) before they rebalanced the ingot requirements and removed it.
Jakesnake5 27 Jun, 2015 @ 6:22am
Question, what was the Potassium used for, besides something in Miner Wars?
Screaming Angels  [author] 26 Jun, 2015 @ 5:21pm
Update:
Ice has been removed from this mod as it is fully restored in game now. This mod will now only have the Helium textures and ore.
I have also added the Helium DX11 textures.
Dardomor 27 Mar, 2015 @ 7:11am
Besides, splitting it gives more choices in which materials you want in-game and which ones you don't.
Due to that, I'm also all for it :)
Dardomor 27 Mar, 2015 @ 7:07am
you can always make separate systems for oxygen and other production. And/or fix it with the sorter blocks :)
Although I just use it in some of the worlds, this mod is fine as it is now in my opinion ;)
miku567 20 Mar, 2015 @ 7:28am
I'm all for the splitting this mod into two since there is no mod (thats I know of) which use Helium.
Geneticus 19 Mar, 2015 @ 9:11pm
Personally, I think you should leave this up for historical purposes and spin off a Pressurization compatibile one.
Screaming Angels  [author] 19 Mar, 2015 @ 6:19pm
Space Engineers update 01.074 has reintroduced Ice Ore into the game, which can be converted to Oxygen.
This Mod whilst it is compatible, is will impact your game as the Refinery and Oxygen generator will compete to convert Ice Ore to Potassium Ingots or Oxygen.

I am considering splitting this mod into two, one for Helium, and one for Ice.

"Icon symbols are hardcoded in game. They aren't moddable currently." Not sure when/if this changed but you can set the icon name in the PhysicalItems.sbc with the <IconSymbol>Pb</IconSymbol> tag on both Ore and Ingots.
Screaming Angels  [author] 24 Nov, 2014 @ 6:54pm
@Yutani : There is code in game that purposely removes any ladder blocks. Sorry, it can't be done, at least at the moment. And that would be just for a visual ladder. Doesn't mean someone else can't make their own ladder model.
Reverend Revenant 24 Nov, 2014 @ 6:09pm
oh and for anyone curious, as I was, solid helium could exist at ~1 K and 66 atm, with a density of ~0.214 g/cm^3
Reverend Revenant 24 Nov, 2014 @ 6:06pm
seeing as you restored this, is there any chance you could restore the ladder block?
Darth Biomech 10 Nov, 2014 @ 9:38pm
Ah, okay, so far so good)
Screaming Angels  [author] 10 Nov, 2014 @ 4:38pm
@Darth Biomech : Yes, the ore is called <SubtypeId>Helium</SubtypeId>.
I've tried to leave all the original names intact, since I only intended this as a restoration.
If I ever develop my own, I'll probably prefix them with my name.
Darth Biomech 10 Nov, 2014 @ 5:36am
Could you please give me the exact name of your Helium Ore? does mined things defines as <SubtypeId>Helium</SubtypeId>? Or it is Helium_01? Just worrying about compatibility issues since my mod also have helium as ore, which transit into liquid helium ingot. wouldn't want to create duplicate helium ore and cause confusion.
Purple Sex Kitten 7 Nov, 2014 @ 2:17pm
@Screaming Angels I just wanted to let you know thanks for the tip. It worked. I appreciate the help and patience you showed me. So mega Thanks.

Screaming Angels  [author] 29 Oct, 2014 @ 2:58am
Icon symbols are hardcoded in game. They aren't moddable currently.
YANKEE GO HOME 28 Oct, 2014 @ 1:43am
Helium appears not to play nice with conveyors or, well, anything really. I have to collect it from my drills by hand, then all I can do is store it in a container. It will go into some components (mostly mod ones) but I can't use it for anything. Also, the name of the ore in inventory isn't displaying - just the icon.
Corpse 25 Oct, 2014 @ 11:48am
i know it only works in creative mode
Purple Sex Kitten 25 Oct, 2014 @ 7:00am
@Screaming Angels ahh ok thanks. I will give it a try.
Screaming Angels  [author] 24 Oct, 2014 @ 4:34pm
@Purple Sex Kitten: Sorry, I mean the Shift-F10 menu. (too many keyboard shortcuts to remember)

@bubbadsi: Then you will have to use a tool like SEToolbox to import new asteroids into your game.
Corpse 23 Oct, 2014 @ 7:30am
yes but what if your in survival in a world that the mod was put in latter
Purple Sex Kitten 23 Oct, 2014 @ 5:10am
@Screaming Angels I tried to F10 Menu some astroids but to no avail. How can I get them to appear as you have suggested? I tried blueprinting astroids-did not work. I can blueprint stations, ships, parts. so what is your trick please?
Purple Sex Kitten 22 Oct, 2014 @ 6:56pm
ahh ok tyy screaming angels guess i'll have to find astroids to put into the (F10 menu)
Screaming Angels  [author] 22 Oct, 2014 @ 5:39pm
If you are using the built in method to Spawn an Asteroid in Creative mode (F10 menu), then yes, Ice and Helium will appear.

But regenerating an existing asteroid? I haven't heard of any in game feature or mod to do that as yet.
Corpse 22 Oct, 2014 @ 3:40pm
yeah
Purple Sex Kitten 22 Oct, 2014 @ 3:26pm
the mod doesn't generate in an existing world only if you start a new world. so I was wondering if it is possible to have the ice and helium generate in the existing world to?
Screaming Angels  [author] 22 Oct, 2014 @ 1:53pm
@Purple Sex Kitten: are you asking if I can make it regenerate, or are you asking does it already regenerate?
Purple Sex Kitten 22 Oct, 2014 @ 12:40pm
Thanks for this mod but I was wondering since I have put so much time and effort in my world that this mod can somehow regenerate ice and helium within existing worlds?
Screaming Angels  [author] 27 Sep, 2014 @ 6:58pm
It appears that there is new config and production filters.
I've updated the mod to work with this new config.
Corpse 27 Sep, 2014 @ 3:57pm
i tried and it wont work
Screaming Angels  [author] 27 Sep, 2014 @ 3:22pm
Put it in a Refinery.
Corpse 27 Sep, 2014 @ 1:53pm
how do you refine the ice
Draven_Stone 26 Sep, 2014 @ 11:00am
that would be nice, but you still need uranium for nuclear reaction for the fusion reaction to take place.
all and all, a good thing to try for alittle more realism for the game
Jakesnake5 17 Aug, 2014 @ 7:03am
What I think is interesting, is this mod would vastly compliment the Fusion Reactor mod.

You would have to change the refined output of the Ice to Deuterium, and the Fusion Reactor mod to use it as fuel. :)
Nimvoker 14 Aug, 2014 @ 9:39pm
I look forward to having more periodic elements and materials in the game! (and of course, being eable to use them)
Dune Drifter 14 Aug, 2014 @ 12:27am
Thank you Screaming Angel for bringing these back. I was hoping they would also show up in the SEToolbox (to choose an asteroid made from them) - but no luck - so in order to get these in the world, I add the mod, and create a new world, and they'll appear.
Geralt of Pornhubia 13 Aug, 2014 @ 2:50pm
I was a little confused when they removed the ores as to why... i mean there was no reason to remove them, and thus i thank you for bringing them back.
Screaming Angels  [author] 13 Aug, 2014 @ 2:43pm
SEToolbox doesn't read from downloaded mods. I was going to release a fix lastnight, but got distracted. Hopfully I'll get time today.
Tasshroom33 13 Aug, 2014 @ 1:19am
Ah I saw the ores on my map, I was just making a new world an checking it in SEtools, guess it doesn't show up there.
Screaming Angels  [author] 12 Aug, 2014 @ 11:34pm
@Cryptwalker ; I do dispute that statement.
Having tried the Asteroids Scenario, Normal 4 Large asteroids.
Every Large asteroid had Uranium in it.
The overall percentage in the save world was lower than a World without this mod in it.
A stock game I tested with no mods had 4.8% uranium scattered throughout the asteroids.
A game I tested with this mod had 3.2% uranium scattered throughout the asteroids.
This is only a single sample however, as the quantity is randomized slightly by Space Engineers. For example, the amount of Iron and Stone was higher by 1.6% in the modded game I tried (which matches the drop in Uranium would you believe!).
I must emphasize, that the amounts are randomized by the Space Engineers game code. I have no control over this at all.
Cryptwalker 12 Aug, 2014 @ 5:05pm
There is no Urainum in any roid only Helium u need to banlance this
Tasshroom33 12 Aug, 2014 @ 9:15am
I was going to make a server balance update using the ingots from here but I can't seem to generate the Ice needed. Any chance you could upload an iceasteroid.vox ?
Dark_453 9 Aug, 2014 @ 12:13pm
@fatman & author Using Helium in someone else mod would Force people to download this one. for anyone wanting to use x mod with a exsisting save would be imposable to use the other item.
So if this intergration was to happen i would recommend to virsions of any item using Helium as fuel and one with Vinilla Urainum!
sorry if that did not make 100% sence, just taken strong Pain killers!
ManBear247 9 Aug, 2014 @ 8:37am
I remember these materials, and always wonder why they removed it from the game :(
Moofrog 8 Aug, 2014 @ 3:52pm
Cool. Im looking forward to that mod :)
Screaming Angels  [author] 8 Aug, 2014 @ 3:23pm
I intend to do that in a separate mod. I will amend he name on this first.
Moofrog 8 Aug, 2014 @ 7:37am
@author: Well why dont you try to modify it a bit to give it more use and add your own content?
