- Good voiceover
- Creative idea and a nice “story” that puts the missions together
- Great variety with 3 different aircraft
- The missions are not too easy and have a nice challenge!
- The flight time is not too long and the missions never get boring.
- Awesome music!
Thanks a lot for making this! It must have been a s**t load of work to build those structures in the editor. :D
I ran out of bombs while I still had to destroy the bunker and the 8 tanks (bunker cannot be destroyed by the cannon + I was very low on bullets), so I returned to the carrier and sold my cannon to buy 5x Mk.82 bombs.
Unfortounately, during the quicksaving and loading, something went wrong and the destroyed landed planes despawned, this caused me to only have "completed" 25/32 of the objectives, while I did destroy everything. I then landed on the carrier again and exited without "completing" the mission, a sad end to a very hard, fun and long mission.
I enjoyed the storyline and the objectives, even tho it's very hard. Great job so far!
It's a doable challenge but feels needlessly difficult and it doesn't exactly leave the player enjoying the awesome map so much because they'd be grumbling about the mission instead...
(seriously steam, you have petabytes worth of storage space for screenshots of people building phallus shaped towers in minecraft but feedback is limited to 1000 characters?)
First off, ally AI in this game is unreliable at best. In my personal experience they will miss about 95% of their attacks and if they do hit they'll often need a second or third attack to kill anything at all, I'm assuming their weapons just do way less damage.
The worst offenders tho are AI bombers. I have never -EVER- actually seen them hit anything they're supposed to hit, they're just about always off by easily hundreds of meters. Point is, of the 39 targets of the first engagement in misson 3, the lovely allies managed to kill a total of 2
(Continued, 1000 letter limit for comments, guh... >.<°)
Shooting down the fighters isn't too difficult, but the missile cruiser is the greatest threat. I've tried a few different tactics like cruise missiles (the 161s the '45 has aren't really suited for naval warfare) and saturation attacks on the radars with optical missiles from high altitudes, but their overwhelming amount of point defence keeps shooting them down.
For some reason, my wingmen also seem to just leave me to do all the work on my own too. I'm not sure if that's because I do my resupplies at the western air base.
Cool map though.
When creating this map, I didn’t think about the story and more focused on creating a unique map filled with experimental structures, such as the flooded city, 清水TRY-2004メガシティピラミッド, the ring city, the viaduct, Just Cause 3 inspired airbase, a destroyed city, and the space elevator.
It was only after I finished making the map, I realised my dilemma that I had no way to turn my map into a compelling story. However, I was looking through the games code where I stumbled across a special enemy unit, and everything just clicked. (it’s featured in the last mission so I’m not going to spoil it.)
Original, nice voices and music, ...
What was your inspiration for the story ?
