@ERROR2401 The regions are actually for the story (lore and special endings) and require new dependency, the game won't subscribe new dependency automatically so I have to make it a new mod TwT That's why I can't just put it in updates rn

@ERROR2401 I found the problem too, but haven't figure out how to fix it so I'm remaking this ability (the updates broke a lot stuff of mod slug's movements
Planned to submit the fixed version as a new mod with its regions and it gonna take long TwT

Too bad the ceiling climb is broken, but watcher probably broke a bunch of things
Speaking of, I can't seem to be able to do the dive in the cure\rent version, as pressing pick up +jump just does the double jump, regardless of which direction I hold (although the direction I hold does affect where the jump goes, and if I hold nothing, it basically just stalls for a split second.)

being able to turn off certain custom sprites for this scug would be nice! im making a custom skin for the moonlight on dress my slugcat, and the face sprites interfere with what i want to do with their dms design :(

UPDATE: when im stuck like this too,my ui doesn't work aswell,holding space wont bring up my karma and time. I also know i cant die from the rain to fix the problem.

Don't know if any of the other slugcat mods are interfering, but when i leave the shelter at the start of the game i don't get to next room... the screen just sit in the shelter, the the moonlight gone. The worst part is i cant press escape and leave.

I love this Slugcat design, the idea of wall climbing is something i didn't expect seeying in the WS and being forced to fight mauling instead of using spears is refreshing. I can't wait to see what you do with his story :stella_happy:

It works perfectly now. I was fighting with some other mod, validated files, reinstalled the game and such, and some of that must've fixed it.

@petrslaw Oops, I checked the workshop file' codes and test it in game, it does contain the glow slider, maybe it's because the workshop failed to automatically update the file for you?
You can try to re-subscribe the mod to renew the file, and please let me know if it still don't work! ; v ;

Hi, I don't know if I'm looking for it wrong, but it says that there's a glow radius slider now and I don't see it.
In the remix menu in balance tab I see three sliders. Two for energy cost, one for damage. In second tab there's also no light adjustment.
Basically as it was before the update.

Thanks for the response. Didn't even notice that Arti stun does damage, should've used it more.
I forgot about it when I wrote earlier, but could you add a slider for her light radius in remix menu? I understand the gimmick, even her name suggests it's gonna be bright around her, but it's just a little bit too much. Not only for the eyes, but kinda balance wise too.

1. Parry stun damage: Its base damage is actually same as Survivor's spear throw, if it appears to be minor it's probably because of the target's damage resistance ; v ; ( you can adjust the damage in its remix menu if it's too low
2. Falling speed in low gravity: Thank you for notice me, I will check the issue!
3. Ceiling climb glitch: I have noticed this problem, but haven't found out a way to fix it ; v ;. Thank you for pointing this out!

Also one funny bug: on screens without ceilings, open to the sky, you can still grab "the ceiling" and float in the air no problem.
It was handy in spectating scavengers fend off mommy long legs in amphitheatre arena.
Trivializes some rooms too of course.

Faster falling is also a very cool feature, as it's kind of a double-edged sword, but there's a slight problem with how it works. I noticed that in very low gravity but not zero gravity, Moonlight falls significantly slower than normal. I figured it might be how it's coded, some multiplication thing. Normally gravity is stronger, but when it's weaker, it's even weaker than it's supposed to be. (Noticed in Scorched District, Interface).

Lastly, are bats supposed to give a full food pip? Because unlike everything else, they do.

Out of the custom scugs i've seen so far this one feels the most unique in terms of actually changing overall movement and hunting strategies (barring the pearlcat).

It's a very interesting take on a melee brawler-predator. I feel like it has a very high skill ceilling. because you can beat almost every match up just with your bare hands and some clever positioning, but might just as well play the situation like a brainlet threehead and hilariously walk into someones mouth. It's not at all free, like in case of some custom scugs and I love it.

After some testing I checked if you can do the same as Artificer, but her parry stun not only does no damage, but is also way too short to grab a lizard, maul it and live to tell the tale. That places Moonlight in a previously not filled niche.

4. For the rest: the electric spear charging is made merely because someone asked for it and it won't change scug's lore and main gameplay style. Sorry but there's no plan to make it able to throw any spears for the scug's lore issue x.x

1. Air jump: I've realized how terrible the Jump+Grab combos are, but sorry I haven't found out the better alternative methods of deciding jumping direction yet. I'm planning to make a rebind of "simplified air jump" (you can already find the option in its config page to toggle this on now) in this month so tapping the extra direction arrows won't be such a pain then.
As for the damage, you can adjust it in the mod's config page too, and I believe the max 5.0 damage would be enough.

2. Ceiling climb: it's a good idea, but might be too difficult for me to realize since I'm blank in modifying elements in map, sorry ; v ; I'm finding the way to fix its current bugs and make it more useful in practical gameplay tho!

2/2 Thirdly, the sprite work here is AWESOME. I love the little glider wings. Have you considered/tried giving moonlight lowered gravity to help with maneuvering and represent these wings better? As it is, this scug feels HEFTY. With such low jump power, combined with mediocre vertical mobility, it feels like gourmand got a hold of whatever artificer is on.

Finally, I do have to ask, what's the point of recharging electric spears if you can't throw them? if possible, you might consider allowing just those spears to be thrown. Just like saint can throw fire spears. Otherwise, this feature is basically only useful in multiplayer.

@Cute_fatalis Very cool mod, but it's a bit difficult to move around. I saw your other comment mentioning how you implement ceiling and wall climbing, and there has to be a better way. Might it be possible to have invisible pipes in the walls and ceilings that only moonlight can grab? This would be nice, since it makes use of the excellent climbing mechanics already present in the game.

Secondly. A few notes on the abilities/controls. I'd recommend switching dive to be "jump+grab+down" while in the air. The "jump+grab" setup is too predisposed towards diving. If I'm holding "jump+grab+right" I should go right. Not plummeting down. I do love the sharp dive mechanic, but its damage is downright pitiful. Unless it scales sharply with distance, it needs to be bumped up. As it is, it's not really usable. Alternatively you could increase the stun vastly and/or make it so you don't go unconscious when you hit a creature? Honestly all of these things would be very nice.

Their glow is very intense considering there's only a couple small luminescent bits on them, maybe change that?

@Venti You can open the mod's dll file with dnspy to view and reference the codes. All workshop mods' file folderd are in steam/steamapps/workshop/common/31250, and you can tell which mod the folder belongs to by modinfo.txt.
As for vertical wall climb, I simply lowered player's own gravity and give it an upward speed when it's on the wall. I recommend you reference The Vanguard instead when you get more familiar with coding, since their wall climbing performances are much better ; v ;

@Seranner No, I found the issue you mentioned too and that's really weird since I didn't do any modifications to Jetfish's AI :slugcatdead: I buffed the scug's swimming speed temporarily now so you can travel through most submerged places without Jetfish (like fetching moon's robe
