@TheMonkeyMann, is there a way to have these mechs be available in the main story? i ask cause i would like to have them instead of the vanilla mechs.

Not sure if it's due to conflicting mods or a bug, but the C-mortar isn't working and is ridiculously over priced in store. I acquire a lock on target and attempt to fire, but the missile travels upwards and disappears.

Many people (like myself) do not start modding a game until they have completed the campaign. That in mind...Why lock your cool creations behind a rep barrier so we cant play them until the game is mostly finished? Roleplay wise, one might think if a man's got the money to buy something there will always be someone that will make the sale.:steamsad:

bug report: the raven model is missing a texture. also, when the leg armor is destroyed, the normal model won't disappear. so, the broken and the normal model existed at the same time.

the spider mech is not working have all others but that one in instant action is the spider mech not in that mode or is it not showing up in my game i downloaded everything it said i dont understand please let me know i hope theres a way to get it kinda sad now

For me the kit fox arms are not working properly they disconnect with the model at times and don't sync up with the cockpit only moving with the body controls

Checking back in, I just wanted to make sure you know you're doing great adding these Mechs. I'm loving the Uller and the Kit Fox! I can't wait to see what you do next and I definitely can't wait for the Elementals and how they'll look in the game. Keep up the amazing work.

So, either an update from PGI screwed up the spawn table of this mod or Steam hidding the mod for some reason screwed something up with it but these mechs aren't spawning at all anymore.

Ah, I thought you made totally new weapons using the MA weapon effects that those mechs used specifically, if you upload it as a non-replacer here on Steam that'd be cool

And as for the unitcards, something else we noticed was that when finding them in battle, a lot of their weapons said they had "Autocannon 20" up to 5 or more times on a single mech, but they don't actually have those weapons obviously.

On another note, in your other Wolves MA mod, does that also just add more to the pool of mechs that show up like this one does? May grab that too if so.

Also I know you say its made for YAML but we don't use that, which you also said is fine, I'm just clarifying that I don't use it, in case that is the cause of some of our issues

so far this has been really cool since we finally got to the date they spawn at, though we've been seeing a few of them that spawn with no weapons, or with half their loadout or less.

also I may be wrong, but aren't they supposed to spawn with weapons that have the visual and SFX from Assault?

Either way, we're having a good time with it.

@coronamorph read the description my guy, its designed for yaml and to be played with yaml lol, so yes, and it adds the classic mechs into the game, doesn't replace anything lol

@Mr.Person If you wish to skip time use the "Advanced Career" mod. When you start a new game it has the option to pick a starting time line :steamthumbsup:

As The BananaMann has said himself, refer back to the original Mechassault build that is on Nexus. The current only difference between the one available on Nexus and this one is the addition of the Cougar/Puma and Spidermech. There are a few other clan mods out there that provide the Cougar/Puma mech.

To tell which mod you have. The Mechassault build you acquire from here will have the word "Beta" in the name. This one will crash your game ... for now.

I wish the Mechs didn't spawn so late, or that there was a way to skip time. Ever consider going back and putting the Inner Sphere mechs in at an earlier time we can see their base game equivalents at? Such as the Atlas?

rq for everyones sack, stick to my nexus build for right now, since i do know that one is working without issue, it doesnt contain the puma or cougar, i got a lot on my plate rn so its gonna be a bit until i can fix my steam build

Read it just fine, thanks for being patronizing. But there is a difference between a mech not working, and a mech that breaks missions. The big problem is that YAML's kill command doesn't work on it either.

Well some of the MA mechs you can actually put the vanilla mech dolls on them and they would probably work just fine I mean to give an example the Cougar and Puma instead of having the Cicada mech doll (and by extention mech body since that's the mech you will see underneath the armor once all of it's removed) they could have the mech doll for the Cataphrate which has the shape of the Cougar and Puma.

I would place my vote for unique paper dolls for the mechs even if they are extremely simple/hand sketches. The problem with mods that reuse other mechs dolls is you have no idea what components you are shooting at. The number of times I have gotten random headshot kills on modded mechs because I have no idea where the cockpit is...

But if you need help with making damage models and everything in-between, see if you can get in contact with SankaraSamsara and Kamikaze_Llama for some help, I'm sure they would be more than happy to help out with this project, they've done custom mech dolls and damage models for their own modded mechs especially Sankara who has mechs like the Hollander,Argus,Stone Rhino, etc under their belt all of which have their own mech dolls and damage models.

Wait what's wrong with the Puma and Cougar? Because the only issue I've noted was the game giving them the wrong icon for the mech class, the tonnage is still correct.

yea the spidermech isnt supposed to be in here yet, i thought i removed it along with the cougar and puma, cuz they arent done yet, but nope the editor still packaged them, not sure how, but regardless sorry for that hiccup, itll be fixed in the next coming update

Well you can still have the Spider mech but instead of the boss version the mini version of the Spider mech might work for that.
This is also some feedback but some of these mechs are being classified as the wrong weight class entirely such as the Puma and Cougar currently are being classified as Medium mechs when you see their icons in-game (not sure if the mech doll has anything to do with that since these mechs use the doll for the Cicada) but they are classified correctly when it comes to tonnage which would be for Light mechs since they cap at 35 tons

yea so i forgot to remove the spidermech when packaging the mod my bad, its not finished yet, and its completely unusable, but in terms of other mechs i do very much plan on adding all of them dont worry, including the battlearmor and elemental, you can only get the mechs when fighting the independents and the 5 main houses at 3050 and above, the uber mech will spawn at difficulties 95 and above, and will spawn at 3074

So, obviously there's a few mechs unaccounted for when it comes to the MechAssault series such as the Owen/Hackman, Uller/Kit Fox and the MA version of the Raven and it's variant Corvus for the Light mech category, of course the mini Spider mech could also work since right now the actual Spider mech boss isn't exactly working the way the creator was probably hoping for.

Scratch what I said, the "cockpit" for the Spider boss mech's in the ground, heck the entire model doesn't even move so there's no hitbox on any of said model.

I suspect it was being damaged however the spider boss mech has so much armor on all of its points you have to chip away at it for a while, that or you were being tricked because at least when I ran this alongside Unification this mech would start as nothing but a bunch of scrap when you view it inside Instant Action.

@Mr.Person I can answer the second question, yes they will spawn randomly and in the shops, though the ones encountered in the field will have a disadvantage to the ones found in the shops which will be at max tier equipment.

This looks fantastic, MechAssault games were my intro to the franchise when I was a kid on the OG xbox! I just have a couple questions,

do your AI squadmates use them decently?
do these mechs spawn randomly in missions or shops or do you have to use commands to get them?
I only have one other mod that adds more mechs, they shouldn't conflict should they?
I don't use YAML but I see you don't have to and it can work without it. But if I don't, will it mess up enemy AI behavior?

Hmm, despite the YAML stuff I wonder if these would work just fine with Unification since it works the same way as YAML when it comes to the Mechlab department.
