Can't say I've really run into any issues with regards to getting it picked up. Just FYI, laborers in general will do the following:
Clearing the terrain of trees, rocks and iron
Carrying raw materials to storage
Carrying raw materials from storage to construction sites
Could you perhaps have too many other things queued up or not enough farmers for them to prioritise picking up crops?
The intermediate solution would be to employ labourers as they should gather all of those things… it’s more created for mid-late game when there usually a small abundance of spare labourers that can lend a hand with collecting crops
(Vanilla) Once farmers have gathered their crops from their assigned field they "act" like labourers. They don't actually join the labourer job force.
So when the next farming seasons come they stop doing labourer tasks and go back to farming automatically.
Do you mean that the mod causes the farmers to become laborers automatically? Or are you just implying the expectation that we'll reassign them (which is reasonable)?
