I'll have to give this a shot since I enjoy all things magic.

Funny enough, my first thoughts when reading this jobs abilities was werewolf. Which led me to think if I might have to try making a vampire bloodmage version of this job. Though that's a big maybe, I am a very novice modder who has never touched Stonehearth (so no one get your hopes up.)

This mod is simply WONDERFUL. Made the gaming experience so much fun. Thank you for this!

Yes, this mod adds the Wizard job to the game. Their damage is based on the "Body" value too, like the other combat jobs in the game. They cast ranged magic attacks, and also melee attacks which are more powerful when morphed into a Wolf.

thank you for this amazing mod.
Quick question tho, does the wizard's damage scall on "body" just like other fighters or "mind". couldn't find the info

does this add wizard to the game?

You can't stop the patrolling without stopping the job task. However, you can select the Wizard and command them to [Defend Location], its the little blue guy holding a flag button. They will also go to craft recipes if under that command, but they still need to have their Job task set to On.

If they are not crafting even after trying this, it could be a bug which I haven't seen. For me, they always craft things even when set to patrol. It may also be a performance issue with the game - long play sessions with a town of more than 20 citizens can build up a memory leak causing the AI to fail doing tasks. Save/Reload after a few hours can free up the memory for another play session.

allow me to clarify: how do I turn off patrolling without turning off their job?
findersword  [author] 21 Jan, 2024 @ 9:34am
The Wizard will craft if their Job task is On, and they are not engaged in combat or following a movement order - if they are crafting and sense an enemy in range they will go to fight it. They need clear access to reach their Workbench and the crafting ingredients, and also their Crafting recipe workshop needs to be Open, not Closed.
If their Job task is Off, they will not do crafting either, only Hauling and Harvesting.

Question: how do I make the wizard stop patrolling so he actually works on his workbench?

What an incredible mod, aside from the 2 dragons with 2400hp each deciding to kill my entire village, I've had a lot of fun playing the mod so far

happy to see this mod come back, really liked having the magical range option for combat

No worries. It was a cool mod while it lasted and the ones you've updated are great too.

Sorry, but I decided to only focus on a lesser amount of mods now, which have been re-released. These are my favorites, and it was getting a bit too time consuming managing the large amount of mods I had out there.

Awesome work and welcome back! Any chance of your excellent Space Magic mod also making a return?

findersword  [author] 20 May, 2023 @ 6:44am
Yes, I made the original.
CyberVirus 19 May, 2023 @ 9:32pm
Question, do you know who originally made this mod?
cjisaac5037 19 May, 2023 @ 3:40pm
Magic is Back!
findersword  [author] 18 May, 2023 @ 5:16am
No, it doesn't require any other mods.
RackleFrackle 17 May, 2023 @ 9:31pm
Does this require ace?
