For anyone who is curious/subscribed to this threat, I'm updating, debugging, and prepping this mod for the next patch 3.12. I've taken a long break from Stellaris and am hoping to dive back in by updating Narco State with new features listed in the road map and known bug fixes for 2024. Thank you to everyone who have reached out or posted help in the comments and in Stellaris Modding Den Discord.

This mod is awesome! Please dont take down the mod i really rather to play with some bugs than without it. More espionage options would be perfect btw. :praisesun:

Yeah, I've been trying to figure it out and cannot square the circle. I've been trying but have been ultimately unsuccessful. I may end up taking down the mod because I would rather have no mod than a broken one :/

Yeah, for some reason it disconnects the effects of major and minor orbitals from the game. Essentially makes habitats useless.

This is a great mod. Pls fix.

When you launch with voidborne,it seems to assign all of your available districts to industrial districts. It also will no longer recognized major or minor orbitals as part of the habitat complex, and seems to generally treat the habitat as the old style of habitat.

Just a heads up, this mod seems to have the same bug as Real Space with the new voidborne origin, where it messes with your habitat districts.

@ThatsAFrog, That'a a good question. When I was doing the writing for the flavor of the GC resolutions, I had a lot of fun framing these obviously corrupt policies to be spun in a positive light. For instance for the "Sublime Substance Mandate", I wrote: "We have an unprecedented opportunity for unity and shared experiences across all species in the galaxy. By requiring every individual to partake in addictive substances, we can foster a profound interconnectedness, transcending cultural and biological boundaries, as the captivating allure of these substances binds us together in a harmonious pursuit of collective enjoyment and understanding."

I thought it would be interesting if the Spiritualists were taken in by this rhetoric of retribution and turning over a new moral leaf... when they were actually just being conned by the Criminal Heritage empires. So that's why!

@DAYTO Thanks so much! I was concerned that something was not working right. I was confused as the description of the espionage mission in the mod description was not matching what was happening in game. Hope you continue updating this mod as it one of the cooler civic/empire mods I have encountered so far.

@Nathanlasvegas. There's a simple modifier. Whenever the "Consolidate Narco Control" espionage mission is completed on the selected planet, a removable blocker is created called "Narco Occupied Territory". It can be removed and will be highly prioritized by the AI for removal but it is expensive at 1200 credits. The blocker reduces total amount of max districts, removes an enforcer job (if available), adds a criminal job, increases branch office value by 25% (it stacks with multiple blockers), and it adds two housing (to prevent entire planet collapse). All of this should be visible within the tool tip on the blocker when it is created.

" but most significantly the replacing of 'Enforcer' jobs on the planet with 'Criminal' jobs. " I can see this happening in game, but it is weirdly inconsistent. Sometimes the enforcers change right away while other times it takes a long time. How is it coded in to work? Does it only update every so often?

@DAYTO, It went great with everything added a crime play through is a viable strategy now The new espionage system makes the whole thing come together perfectly and the new buildings add some much needed flare and having some oomph behind them without being too overpowered that it feels like your cheating. All in all you struck the perfect balance in my mind and it feels like a vanilla free dlc and makes Mega-Corp all the more interesting

@Khabal, this mod was not developed with AI mods in mind. I tested it on a vanilla playlist with only UI changes installed. However, I have not tested it with mods like Starnet and on its face, I don't think it'll cause an issue. By all means, give it a try and if throws up errors or causes any issues, please let me know!

@][FABER][, if you successfully complete the custom added narco espionage mission, the targeted planet is given a harmful blocker that increases crime. See the "Show the Authorities Who's Really In Charge" section in the mod's description. To encounter the blocker in your game, complete the "Consolidate Narco Control" espionage mission.

There are no changes to Chemical Bliss, just that if you pass the highest level resolution in the "Underworld Empowerment" resolution branch empires will be in breach of galactic law if their pops are not using "Chemical Bliss" or "Narcotic Obligation" living standards.
