I have a suggestion: Add a wealth threshold for each tech level, so threats can't get harder until you advance to a new level. Could be interesting in wealth-independent mode too.

本MOD并不是直接修改ThreatPoints,它只是在wealthItems,wealthBuildings,wealthPawns三个值上乘了一个百分比系数,从而改变了殖民地的财富总值(但对于某个具体的Item/Building/Pawn而言,它的价值是没有变化的)
Combat Readiness Check 应该是重写了ThreatPoints的计算方法,如果它是通过自己重新统计每个物品的价值得到的财富总值,那本MOD对其计算过程不会有影响
顺便一提,Combat Readiness Check 的源码中只获取了wealthBuildings的值,但另外两项是它自己统计的

The difference is this mod is simple as it essentially uses 3 different multipliers to calculate wealth and only wealth.
The mod you pointed to calculates threat points, which includes wealth, colonists and some other values from what I can tell at a glance along with adaptive curves and threat multiplier.

Sounds too complicated for my smooth brain, I'll just keep my wealth low.

you mean 100 right? that is the default settign in the mod, or are you saying that the default mod setting is 10X normal wealth?
So anything lower than 100 means less colony wealth.
