If you love challenge though I wouldn't recommend you to use this. Rewards are really worth it, as you beat Moon Lord, proivdence and polterghast with ease and it handles all the way up to the devourer of gods

Ok, add to it that it needs sufficient space above it too. I was trying to summon it on my artificial arena up in the cosmos layer and apparently that won't do > > (and before you ask about the biome - 18000 various astral blocks, bro, NOT counting the walls, I think it's more than enough for game to recognise it as a biome)
Once I restored the original on-the-ground biome and tried to summon there, it worked no problem.

@Wakazu Using only Calamity, Catalyst, and this mod, it seems to work fine: The Astral Communicator remains usable post-Moon Lord, it no longer has any tooltips implying it would stop working, etc.
Is the Astral Communicator visually broken? If it isn't and you still can't summon the boss / use the item, you might not be in the correct place. The Astral Communicator can only be used in the surface Astral Infection, only if there isn't already an Astralgeldon Slime alive, and only if the Boss Rush isn't active.

Terraria mod makers try not to make dogshit game design choices challenge. (Impossible.)

Idk why they even make you fight it pre moonlord, as its drops completely trivializes the game up until DOG. Galaxy Kamehameha hard carried.

I feel like making it so astralgeldon is unfightable post moon lord is weird. but i think its would be a good idea if astralgeldon scaled in power as you progress in the game (post moon lord) if you have not already, staying the same power if you have. so you can never just progress till you can wipe the floor with its gel thus, its always a SUPER boss. (not just a post squid boss that you can get to really quickly in hard)
but idk im not a modder or something.

Doesn't this ruin the entire point of Catalyst? The point of the lock is to make the player beat it once, the go post-ML, and try to get a lead by getting the no-hit weapon. This makes it obtainable even to the absolute losers lategame. I just don't get it:steamsalty:

After testing more, it seems that the actual function of the mod wasn't broken: It's just anything that the player can see was (item sprite, tooltip). Apparently, something did change in Catalyst and i just didn't notice.
This has been fixed. Apologies for the unreasonable delay.

I'll try get get it working soon. Despite there being zero code changes in Catalyst, almost everything that this mod does inexplicably stopped working, so that's going to be fun to debug.

All porting work was just to make it work with tMod 1.4.4 — Unless I missed something, Catalyst didn’t change any code regarding Astrageldon’s summoning in a way that I needed to account for.

I like it because you cannot fight it post-Moon Lord. But if anyone wants to use this then it is fine. I just see it as a superboss instead of a normal boss and that's why it, in my opinion, should be hardmode.

The only reason i can think of this lock being in place was to prevent players from shredding dog and old duke with the no hit reward of geldon and instead making it an actually really hard challenge to get said no hit reward

the reason the lock was added is that so you don't shred geldon with post moonlord weaponry, its a superboss for a reason.
