(during those 11 years since this map was uploaded) ^^
that broke this map 's exit ... rest of the map should work fine.
Sorry if this resulted in any inconvenience for you!
Our love was growing even more through this map.
Thank you.
5/5 Starts
Also I didn't even know you could jump that far with blue gel. In case the laser wall was closer to the platform it would have been easier to figue out. We cleared the map by shooting a sphere through a metal grid that moved a cube which revert the gravity ray so we could fly.. yea..
We tried to do it without dying or messing it up. (Also my game crashed several times. What I get for alt-tabbing out of the game while recording, apparently.)
I think the puzzles are neat, but I generally agree with the sentiment that restarting approximately the whole puzzle can get a bit old. The only things that persist are the cubes. If you and a cube die in a funnel- or gel-related accident...
The other thing is forgetting that you've left a cube behind. You can see in the video that we leave it behind once, then re-execute, and I immediately notice we've left it behind again .
Having said that, I'm not sure how to fix it.
Just played your collection 1 to 3 (amazing!) but we quit for this one... We're just spending 1/2h trying to reach that **** square button with the cannon. She's enough aiming with the cannon, and I'm enough waiting that she finally get it. You should add angled pannels so the sphere goes a little more easily on the button. We finally got it once, but missed the second tunnel... Enough!
As a mapper you can easily be blinded by the intended solution.
In my mind it was very clear that players would bring the companion cube with them.
But you are right, it is not so obvious and there is no way back at this point.
Not so well planned, that is in fact a big problem.
But as you can see on map 5 and 6, I don't always build it this way. =)
Thanks for the feedback - I will try to keep it in mind for my next maps.
It's like you both have to go to start if you even forgot to take one cube with you (we did the whole way about 10 times and finally quitted the map because it was too annoying to do it again)
-2/10
About the map.. you showed a interesting new device but this confusion about die or not wasnt the best way to start with this.
Maybe you did not see what i have build in to prevent that.
But thanks for the feedback anyway. =)
