I feel I have to say sorry to people who were stumped by the painting issues because I forgot to mention that you need to use the PaintBuilding tool instead of the PaintFloor tool to paint the carpet, which was mentioned in the Chinese version of the description but not in the English one. I totally forgot about this until I updated the description today.
However, if you can't paint the carpets, it's because they are missing
<comps>
<li>
<compClass>CompColorable</compClass>
</li>
</comps>
If you can't paint them, copy and paste that section below:
</costList>
Then it works.
According to the description, it's dyeable, but somehow the game doesn't recognize it as flooring. The royal carpets are also listed under furniture for me, but I don't know if that's intentional; it prevents me from selecting them for dyeing, no matter how or with what. I also didn't know that you haven't used Rimworld in a long time, but I still want to thank you for your cool carpet mods. They're a brilliant addition to Rimworld, as Rimworld doesn't have a very attractive selection. Thank you very much for the detailed answer.
Thanks for reading these, good luck and enjoy the game :)
Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming anyone. I'm grateful that someone likes my mods and gives me feedbacks, even though it's my first time making a mod and it's immature in many aspects, it feels really great knowing that you're contributing to the game community and someone appreciates your works.
So remember, whenever you encounter unpaintable problems, the first thing you should do is to try other painting methods. If they also don't work, you should consider possible mod conflicts. The least possible cause would be that I wrote something wrong in the code and made things not work properly.
I'm actually browing through your mods, going to subscribe to a bunch ^^
Hope you will add new patterns to the latter !
The previews are all red, but it doesn't mean the mod only has red gilded carpet
I like the mod but I am a fan of cerulean blue, black, silver, white and highlighter yellow

毕竟现在1.5还是unstable version,即使真有问题,也得等正式版上线了再说
But in this case, things are much simpler. Just use the 1.3 version, it won't cause any problems. Not all 1.3 mods are incompatible with 1.4
