@ringorat101482, When I created this mod, everything was fine with the armor, I think the game updates broke the mod.

okay, now that ive messed around with this mod for a bit i changed my mind. its impossible to save any combine (with all gear on) they spazz out and go everywhere, if not that they get crushed inside their own armor life its fnaf. i dont recommend but the sprites are very high quality also deleting a single piece of armor doesent delete the whole creature. 1/10 mod for actually playing, 9/10 mod if you wanna remake every soldier when you want one

this mod is so good, its a shame the creator quit. very well made, one small problem is that many items have no images, still a very good mod i give it a 9/10

About TPOS. There are posters in the original game showing the regular soldier at the time. Of course there are textures with a good one from HL2, but they don't occur in the game, so it may not be considered canon. So, I did this soldier based on Patient Zero, but it can also be used as a regular soldier at the time of HLA
