It's kind of a shame that you can essentially ignore half of the map due to the layout. Nevertheless, very cool mission!

There are 4 S-vests in this map. One in the garage, one in the cells, one on a "Foreign Advisor Fanatic" type enemy next to the shelves in the interrogation room, and one which appears outside the garage (and quickly running to the cell area) after coming into contact with the VIP. I would bet that it was the latter and your trooper was facing away from that direction when making contact with the VIP, allowing the S-vest to approach unseen and kill your unit. Make sure to cover the garage area to prevent this.

That's a fantastic map, and one of the most interesting challenges I've faced in this game lately. I really appreciate that it feels like every corner and enemy was carefully thought out. The layout is very believable, and there is a balanced opposing force here.

One thing prevented me from successfully completing this mission with 3 stars: I encountered an event where one of my troopers suddenly evaporates in an explosion (presumably from a "hidden" suicide bomber) when covering the right hallway (in the area next to the hostage interrogation room). I had two teams enter the base, one from the canyon (north) and one from the caves (west), and this occurred on each of my three attempts at the mission, around 1:15 time mark. Is that intended? If yes, would you provide some insight into why that happens?

Just played through all your SCP maps, lots of fun and heaps more engaging than most workshop maps. Really liked the MC&D auction raid and looking forward to more of your stuff :)
