The fact that %90 of the aircraft in this mod can hover and can take off on spot in lore yet none can do so in this mod when it's %100 possible is extremely disappointing.

Since this mod has been reported working in 1.5 I added it to the No Version Warning-mod

@GrimReapurr No idea, but it should. Since it's just pulling Aerocrafts functions, as long as Aerocraft works and doesn't change the Def names these should work.

Since FV author said "there is no ETA" meaning strafing runs and vtol combat are unlikely to be made, AF still superior in terms of aircrafts.

@Black_Overlord The short version, is it basically got abandoned. It as there as a temp for people while waiting on vehicle framework so if people didn't want to use SRTS they had another option for transport. It's still here because 4000+ still are subbed to it.

It's never been updated since because I'm not modding Rimworld anymore.
The mods have all been passed over to be re-worked and upgraded as originally planned, but that's in the new authors hands when that happens

These ships are totally worthless in combat compared even to example vehicles added by Aerocraft framework. AF makes you able to give your ships customizable weapon mounts, shields and abilities. All these... vessels armed with only a single minigun and most of them are able to drop mortar shells. I understand that it is just a port of an SRTS addon, but what is the point of it, if the only new function is ability to move them around map?

@JoeOwnage Neither. It's with the Kotor Team members. Guy has permission to use the texture to create his version that is integrated with the kotor pack. And Lee was passed the full standalone mod.

@JoeOwnage both this version and the SRTS Version seem to work ok on 1.5. Just ignore the warning. I've messaged the new owner to ask if they want to upload a 1.5 version

@JoeOwnage, I've passed ownership of this mod on. For a proper update, I'll check with the new owner what he wants to do. But it might just be a tag change rather than an updatee haven't tried it on 1.5

Mechanically it's restricted to how Aerocraft / Rimworld handlded caravaning.
You should be able to allow items and then pick them up, if allowing them alone doesn't do it, draw a quick stockpile round the items it should let you then.

@WilliamTSherman Techinically yes, if you look into the files for Aerocraft Framework you can change the comp for these defs, but this mod is due a complete overhaul. Just working on the KOTOR Core Mod. After that all my vehicle mods are gonna be re-done

Quick question, is there any way to remove the taxi requirement for the ships? Star Wars ships are vertical takeoff, needing clearance in front of them to take off is awkward when I'm trying to build a hangar inside my mountain base.

As I tested. All of your crafts or ships can't flight across the world map or not yet flight to the Capital Ship in SOS2 mod, but still can flight in the city or in Capital Ship area itself. Please fix this and make this compatible right away.

Could we have a mod option to make the ships faster on the world map? They're VERY slow, for something that's supposed to be interstellar.

i just found out the aerocraft can fly without pawns. so i'll destroy abnother base this way. and see what happens

@Dizzy_Dares and as for your current save you could either see it a story elements, along the lines of the ship got damaged or malfunctioned during the battle, or you can turn dev mode on, enable god mode, then build the ship ( This will make it free and insta-build) then disable dev mode again

@Dizzy_Dares that would be an aerocraft thing rather than this mod in paticular. I'd recommend you try a test world with just Aerocraft, Harmony and this mod. You can use Dev Mode to test whether you can repeat the issue. If it works normally it's likely you have a mod conflicting with Aerocraft, if it still doesn't work test without this mod and see if it's repeatable

i used an eta-2 to destroy an enemy base and when the notice for base/village destruction popped up my pawn was left on the ground and the ship disapeared. it had fuel it didnt seem to land ( the area was on fire) is this a bug? should i use the srts version? i'd like to not lose an expensive vehicle and make my pawn walk back again

So, looks like remove just one 0, for something like: '0.00035' enough for playing.
also I messed around some & change type of fly off/landing to heli type, just up & down (from another helicopters & planes mod).
Its work, but dont understand where string to animate this(ship just insta pop up), so this is just another suggestion to improve the mod.
Cuz if i remember all ships in sw have vertical takeoff

@REGISTRATOR GOVNA, there's no quick way for me to make an adjustment, I have to make a patch for each ship individually. I will work on that patch but until then I would recommend you manually change the speed of the ship:

- Go to this folder:
<STEAM INSTALL DIR>\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2979997791\Defs\mm_aero_ships\

- Open the file for the era the ship you are using belongs to.
- Use the FIND function to get the ship you are using.
- Use the FIND function to get "MYDE_AerocraftFramework.CompProperties_CanCrossMap" for the Ship.
- Change the "Travel Speed" value here to whatever speed you need.
- Save

This value should stay until either you re-install the mod or I update the mod ( At which point should be with the patch ).

@Arandaror as for the ships, since I created this version I have noticed the sith empire and galactic empire are lacking, I have a list of 17 ships I would like to add, interceptor included. But I don't know when I'll get round to them yet.

My main plan was to wait for the vehicle framework, and then create more ships and ground vehicles. But if I do get chance in the meantime I'll update the packs.

@Arandaror Currently the only feature the one gun. Wanted to keep the first release "basic" to make sure everythings working ok.

Once everything seems stable with the first release and I'm happy nothing needs tweaking I'll start to do weapons for each ship and engine trails.

As a TIE Interceptor ace, I feel a little sad by it's absence, but the exceptional diversity, good scale, and of course Star Wars-i-ness of this mod is fantastic. I do need to ask, do all of these ships only feature the default one gun, or am I having a mod conflict and not seeing their loadouts?
