Hello guys, why is this mod is so loud even my ears started bleeding after I downloaded it, could someone help me to solve this problem please? I selected 50% of volume in setting but it doen't changes

@Killer81, you need to open
material\environment\rain.mat file with any text editor and change
diffuse : { 0.3 , 0.3 , 0.3 }
to
diffuse : { 0 , 0 , 0 }

it will make exterior rain particles invisible.

A question about this, there is a way to get rid of the exterior rain streak? not that you should do this in your mod, maybe a different version with it, but I wanted to make this change and have no idea on how to do this, was searching through def and material files

Is it correct that this mod is not fmod.

I'm really disappointed with this mod. The raindrops look unrealistic. Their shape, speed, and trajectory all seem off, making them appear less convincing than the vanilla graphics. In third-person view, there's no rain effect at all, and you can't even see any splashes from the car, as if it isn't raining at all. The sound of the rain is underwhelming too; it sounds more like a light drizzle, and you only hear it occasionally, as if it's falling on the roof.

Realistic Rain is a much better mod.

@Michael.one3, thunder and lighting are controlled by base game. Sometimes other graphical and sounds mods might affect them. This mod doesn't

@Plainolalex, sorry, I don't know such command. I was never able to find corresponding console commands or files/configs in game archives, only rain textures. Currently we can change number of interior raindrops (with a limit near 20000 particles vs default 5000), but not for exterior rain. Outside rain density is controlled from the exe file itself, in SCS Map edittor, with Climate/Weather settings specifically, but we still can't change it's max limit of particles. Please let me know if you'll find out something about it

thx, also for the fast reply. I wasnt sure since the mod said to not use other graphic or weather mods with it, but I guess since your mod only adds new textures to the raindrops, as well as increasing there number and other changes, its not exactly a weather mod I guess

@WhiteAlphaW0lf, yes it is! You can use it with any other weather/graphical mods, just place Better Raindrops above them in Mod Manager

Seems to work fine in 1.50, but the wiper sound is a bit delayed. It sounds like it hits the side of the window when it's already on the way back to the bottom.

@SkyTheKitten, interior wind noise is a separate audio event and my Better Raindrops doesn't have it. Perhaps you have some other mods like Sound Fixes Pack or Zeemods Wind, Tire & Trailer that have their own noise sounds?

@kretschmer, it looks like you have an old Snowlfakes addon. In the new version 1.9.1 I reduced snowflakes size and fixed particle spawn misalignment for side windows on some trucks. So please download or subscribe to a new version

So in the game I open the window briefly - I drive with a cabin view. I don't know if you can change anything about it. But I think the "big snowflakes" are implemented great - heavy snow with fog (still using realistic brutal graphics and weather V6.3 ATS 1.49 from Kass - lower priority than Frosty and your mod) make it a challenge day and night. Great mod - I test rain in summer,-)

aha...well, that's okay...so the frosty brings snowflakes with it - light snowfall - fits well. But in your version it gets really thick. I think your thick snowflakes are ideal for Grime's "small flakes". The snow also moves very easily on the windshield wiper or when the side window is lowered. The alignment on the windshield doesn't fit perfectly, BUT I don't drive a stock truck at the moment... so there can be adjustment problems - that doesn't bother me. The only criticism, if I may say so, would be... The side windows snowed in really quickly. Realistically okay, I've driven in real life in such a way that the mirrors and windows are covered in snow in no time.

I think the cause is the direction from which the wind is blowing ,if you look when one window has water, the other one has less

just saying tho, i think there are way too many raindrops on the left&right side windows, and they behave more like iced rather then moving rain drops.

@MrMallenby, yes, mod is compatible with any vehicles. Only Truck Addon is for vanilla trucks.
