Holy moly, the Hyperstructures mod is finally here and uploaded! I have integrated all the shellworlds into this mod, so check it out for future updates!

@Rattenkönig this resource will be included in the next mod, it's finished and I'm currently playtesting it for any unexpected bugs. I will probably release it this or next week, so stay tuned :)

@Sparble. Yes, I already have the Shellworld planet completed. When sending a construction ship to build, nothing happens, but the upgrade option is highlighted.

@Mr Yeet currently working on a new megastructure mod where I plan to add some way to upload your species' minds to some sort of computer after taking the synthetics ascension; so yeah such a megastructure will probably be included there.

do you already have a completed shellworld planet? you should be able to right click it with a construction ship and then construct a double shellworld if you have enough resources in your stockpile

@Arky if you love habitable megas you'll love my new mod soon :) about the planets, yeah I think it might not work if a planet is being terraformed, I'll have to change that

Something i noted though. It doesnt seem to add districts to the machine world, prolly a bug. I was terraforming the planet while making the thing. If that helps.

@Sparble so, by "not terraformed" you mean, that the planet's type remains the same, right? What graphics would the planet then use? (On that note, may i request a couple of screenshots for such occurrences, so other players can see, how does it work in unusual circumstances?)

@ShaddevI'd have to add a gigastructure compatibility patch for that I think. I'm currently making a new megastructure mod which includes the shellworlds from this one and which will have support for gigas.

Hey could you make it possible to build a shell around gigastructure's planetary computer? Tried to do that in game and it said there was a mega structure there, so it couldn't.

@Rawr'kraine atm shellworlds shouldn't spawn by themselves at galaxy generation at the start of a game. I'll add origins someday, but until then that's a bug :P

Can you make so that shell world construction not to be blocked by orbital rings? It is annoying to have to wait for their research so that you can fully improve an important planet.

@Curdos I haven't tested it yet, but I think that should work since the finished shellworld megastructure changes the planet class and despawns the megastructure itself

I have found that I'm never playing anybody but "Children of Unit 04" ever again, since their species perks are too unique/cool. Once you have Guilli's planet mods accounted for let me know. Just attempted to shellworld the homeworld, but it still wipes all planetary mods, and for this race those mods are very important to them.

On the shellworlds, I'd argue that it would make sense to remove planets #1 and #2 and maybe #3 if they're near the star, plus a gas giant. That'd be more than enough material to create an endersphere. Might be (realspace) scaling, but they don't seem "that" big.

It's a cool mod, but too many empires start in the Gas giant shell world. And the planets are transparent.

The amount of the material needed for radiation shielding should be miniscule compared to the planetary masses. In the Orion's Arm 500-meters thick steel shell is sufficient for original version
