Practically dat file mods aren't officially supported anymore since 4.0 until they reworked the games internals some more. Beside this for now after most patches dat file mods had to be redone from scratch. Therefore - and for I have more mods to upgrade and a whole lot of further requests for better maintainable mods - I don't think I'll do such a mod in the near future.
First soundtrack is uploaded, second one currently on its way - sadly 267mb do need some time (190 mb in 30 minutes now...)
So this is my most limiting factor for all uploads...
Beside that I'll try to upgrade as many as possible further mods today and at the weekend.
And yes, I have a new harddrive for my steam game and stuff now and rescued all needed data at the weekend. So I will start upgrading mods again now. Not today, but tomorrow I'll have time I think. So expect to see my remaining mods beeing upgraded next days. :)
When I have a new one, I'll return to upgrade my mods as soon as possible.
But still - I'd suggest to just subscribe to both mods, it's really easy to get your prefered mix that way.
For the merge - merging a WARM terrain mod with COLD trees - is really a very special request. Why not just subscribing to both mods and giving the trees a higher priority?
To remove it, unsubscribe from it, delete your AoE2\data\slp folder and verify your game cache.
This mod only changes the terrain textures and some terrain objects, but it doesn't touch any of the mp relevant files forcing all players in a match to use the mod or not.
-> Aoe checks all players to use the same version of these files so no one is cheating.
Mods that can cause this problem are the unit reskin mod and the building renovation mod (for they do their graphical changes by editing the 'wrong' files), and all mega ressource/ rotting corpse mods as well as all other mods that edit unit behaviours/values or add units.
If they didn't there are two possible reasons:
a) you canceled the intro too early so AoE wasn't able to reinstall them (don't cancel before the chess sequence starts). Maybee AoE needs several restarts, depending on the amount of mod data.
b) there occured a bug that destroyed some /all of your mod installations. It's rare, but it can happen. In this case you have to remove these mods completelly and then resubscribe to them doing a clean reinstall.
I would recommend to try my mod manager - it enables you to install/delete/reinstall different mod setups with just a few clicks, group mods into new mod setups, install parts of mods, and so on.
P.S; : I feed up with Steam unceasing cut servor connection .
To verify your game cache, right click AoE in your steam library and click 'properties'. open the 'local files' tab and click the verify button.
Right click on AoE in your steam library and click 'properties' in the context menu.
In the dialog that opens, choose the tab 'local files'.
On that tab, there is a button that opens your game directory in a new windows explorer window. There you can directly access your data folder.
May I recommend using my mod manager? :)
You need a clean installation before using it and it only works for mods installed using it too, but with my tool you can easily install, uniinstall (completelly), switch and even mix mods and do other stuff. Just read the manual first, for the poor workshop integrtation (and the fact I can't access steams information regarding your workshop usage) there are a few things you have to keep in mind.
How can i make it go back to "normal"
i wnat say this Texture pack will be pretty with HD unit reskin http://www.moddb.com/mods/aoe-2-hd-new-units-and-terrain-re-skin/downloads/aoe-2-hd-new-units-and-terrain-re-skin and my Building change https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=247930531
and Thx Guys for praising us
Today, i go to drink a cup of coffee. I 'll try the mod tomorrow. :D
Advanced Genie Editor is a great tool - just has a poor usability in some areas.
You can find it here .
But there are a few things you have to be aware of because AoEs workshop integration. So I recommend to take a look at the manual first (can be downloaded seperately).
