@[Myuu] 9 Neneko I updated it and it should now be compatible with older versions of Teardown. I'm not sure if it will be compatible with very old versions since it uses the HasVersion() function, but I think it might work too, maybe just showing an error on startup.

Hi, is it alright if you can upload the 1 Apr, 2024 update as a separate workshop mod so it can be compatible with 1.5 or other legacy versions? The files can be found in the change notes iirc.

@Mundkoko I don't know, maybe another mod changes the fog values ​​dynamically and rewrites the values of this mod.
Or you have the "no fog" option enabled and the mod doesn't show fog or the water surface
(I might remove that option because it looks a bit weird)
Also, due to the method the mod uses, you can't see the water surface while you're underwater.
I don't think I can fix that currently.

its broken, when i go completley under the water it break by removing all fog underwater and doesnt show the surface of the water.

@baci0612 Yeah, the robot script removes them when they fall into the water.

@Mad Max No, but maybe there is a way to remove it, if so, maybe I'll add it as an option.

@sweete0614 I made some changes to prevent that, but it can still happen.

@Mundkoko The mod was buggy on some sandbox maps. I fixed it and now the mod with default settings should look like the screenshots.

I added a FIX in the menu
Apparently ships sink only at the edges of the "water screen", so I made the water screen larger.

There are some problems:
-It is now distant ships that can sink, less likely since it happens out of sight of the player or far away (and physics get disabled).

-while the player is underwater the "water screen" will cover parts of the map outside water.
I tested in the VillaGordon mission "A Wet Affair" and it doesn't cause false positive for the IsPointInWater()

(with the Fix enabled, go underwater and open the photo mode, moving the camera around you will see the "water screen", only one side is visible)

I think the only ways to remove the underwater fog are:
-Using the "water screen"
-Place the player in a vehicle
-Change the camera like in creative mode.
Not sure, but editing the player camera remove/disable the player tools and you need to write new ones

@PoisonDartFrag Choose Default in the "Underwater Fog" option to disable the "water screen" that causes the bug (boats sink)
The MOD will still use the functions and change the Depth Of Field for a clearer view, but with the game's default underwater fog.

The MOD uses a "rendering issue". In most games you can't see glass trough glass and this mod adds water in front of water to remove the default underwater fog.

Is the mask to allow for sinking? Is something you need to do on your mod that the Diving Suit mod that just lets you always sink doesn't need, which causes the issue?

@Poison Dart Frag Click the reset button in the menu to use the game inputs (Crouch/Jump), or use the F1,F2... keys to use different game inputs.

The mod adds a water "mask" to the player to remove some underwater effects, and the boats try to float on the player's mask, causing them to sink. Not sure how to fix it without affecting performance.

Btw, any could you figure out how to map the swim up and down controls to the generic crouch and jump, so I don' t have to use a manually modified mapping on the Steam Deck and can use the game's own bindings?

Bug report: This mod sinks any boat you touch while you're crouching underwater (don't even need to be touching at the moment, just recently enough for it to be physical and near you) regardless of what setting you pick for underwater vehicles.

could you maybe fix the issue with vehicles going insanely fast in water and vehicles being able to jump in water? (though maybe make the not kicking you out of the vehicle while underwater thing as setting)

Teardown generates bubbles underwater in certain conditions, this mod adds more bubbles while you use vehicles and also while you press the left mouse button (LMB) regardless of the tool you're carrying.

If you mean "The Block", I abandoned it and it's has been unlisted for a while, now I've updated it to apply some fixes and added the heist that was missing in the last version.

There're some reposts of the map on the steamworkshop, I have no problem with that, since it has been unavailable.

I updated it and now it will restore the default fog of the map.
But if you change the weather in-game, enable/disable the mod with "F6" to update it.

1 problem. After going under once, it deletes all distant fog from land. Still a good Mod.
