ah
shit
sorry mate
stuuky  [author] 14 Jun, 2023 @ 1:12am
I am sorry but I won't be making those. I want to make what I like myself. I am not going to make something I don't want to do. If you really need a train then you should ask someone that does commisions. I don't do commisions. Making stuff is just a hobby and generally I make trains that I need for my layouts. I don't have plans or wishes to make a New York map or a map set in India.
DFV ACMU-dei 13 Jun, 2023 @ 1:07pm
okay yeah nah lets do something else
maybe like a R188, maybe a Double Decker indian train or sumn
DFV ACMU-dei 9 Jun, 2023 @ 1:32pm
okay, i'ma try to explain this in a way both of us can understand (cuz even I can't comprehend me)
You take the mod, reskin it (with perms of course) and post it saying you got perms
stuuky  [author] 5 Jun, 2023 @ 3:44am
Wait, do you want me to recreate a mod? I thought that you wanted to dp that, and were asking me how to do it.
I don't think I understrand what you want to do.
DFV ACMU-dei 4 Jun, 2023 @ 1:01pm
yes, i'll send you the link and either one of us'll ask perms
stuuky  [author] 4 Jun, 2023 @ 6:50am
Recreate? I don't know. I'm no lawyer but I supose you would need permission from the original author if you want to share it. If you want to use it privatly then you don't need permission for as far as i'm aware.
DFV ACMU-dei 4 Jun, 2023 @ 6:31am
Alright, but just asking, is it ok if you recreate a funny mod?
stuuky  [author] 3 Jun, 2023 @ 11:31pm
I tought the R160 was a full mod. I didn't look at the image good enough.
If by your last comment you mean that you want to make them, well start learning Blender and just have a go at it. I like to look for some blueprints and put them in my project so you can easilly reference the blueprints. I always like to have a blueprint at scale besides the train to get the proportions down.
DFV ACMU-dei 3 Jun, 2023 @ 1:29pm
Cuz I had plans for things like the Eurostar (E300), ICNG, SNG, and (yes) Gatimaan Express or other indian things
THE PROBLEM IS
I dunno how to
DFV ACMU-dei 3 Jun, 2023 @ 10:50am
And If you only do european things, I got you for the next one
DFV ACMU-dei 3 Jun, 2023 @ 10:49am
you mean them funny sprinter liveries or the 2-car sets? Cuz tbh real R160's are either 4, 5, 8 or 10 cars (2 4-car sets or 2 5-car sets)
stuuky  [author] 2 Jun, 2023 @ 11:58pm
Dantezeb. there are already some subway cars on the workshop that look a lot like what your seeking. Including an R160. Furhtermore I prefer making European stuff. It's nice to keep things close to home.
DFV ACMU-dei 2 Jun, 2023 @ 6:48pm
Wait, I got a funny idea for NYC
Can you recreate an R160? Maybe a PTA R152 or R153?
DFV ACMU-dei 31 May, 2023 @ 2:54pm
oh my god he did it
stuuky  [author] 31 May, 2023 @ 5:57am
I believe you can use blender for colouring (texturing) Personaly I don't use blender for the colouring. I have drawing software called Clip Studio Paint for that, but you have to pay for that.
Blender is however the program I use to make the models (it is amazing but difficult for beginners) But if you stick to simple colouring like I did with the sprinter even MS paint can suffice.
Jendrassik 31 May, 2023 @ 4:06am
Stuuky, ok, is program Blender suitable for coloring?
stuuky  [author] 30 May, 2023 @ 11:14pm
LTKotik that is a question that would need a long awnser.

Making a mod for RL (Rolling Line) has already been explained by others at length , I suggest you read their advice. Simpely put. You need to make a 3D model, colour it and export it to RL.
stuuky  [author] 30 May, 2023 @ 11:11pm
I believe The Rolling Line art style for trains comes down to the following points:
- Low ploy shapes
- A large amount of Low ploy shapes to add details.
- Try to give a colour a large surface area (don't give every detail its own colour)
- Don't use text or logo's on a train unless it is nececery (for exaple santa fe where the logo is so
big it can't be removed as it covers the entire front of the loc)
Most imortaint however for knowing how the RL art style works is to look at it yourself. Put down an official train and really analyse it. That is the best way to really know how the style works, being up and close with it.

How do you make mods for Rolling line? and especially in the Rolling line style
