If you want to safely override an affliction added by another mod, you have to simply just make a replacement with a different identifier that does the same thing, and then replace every instance that affliction is used with your new one that does the same thing.

as it stands right now, just looking at the video demonstration of the device, its only use right now is just as a forced compliance device against bad patients and clown discipline.
is that enough? yes. could it be more? also yes.
If you have the detonator and you do !detonate [charactername] then if they have a bomb, it explodes
otherwise you'd have to find a way to adjust the detonator to explode certain implanted players in a lua table.
