Yeah the devs claim overriding modded afflictions being like that is intentional, I think its dumb because of how it turns out. Scouring the f3 menu for whatevers causing errors is the best bet at finding them, even if you can't read them sometimes ; Barotrauma modding channel typically can figure it out.

i found that same bug but had no clue what caused it, thanks

Since it's just for changing the name of "gate_ta_ra" from "Traumatically amputating left arm" to "Traumatically amuptating right arm" it will be removed right now

I only overrided it because mannatu changed the name of the traumatically amputating arm affliction to be the same for both arms (both were called Traumatically amputating left arm)

medical items are safe, upon readding neurotrauma, but this is because we didn't save; unsuspecting installers might not be as lucky
If you want to safely override an affliction added by another mod, you have to simply just make a replacement with a different identifier that does the same thing, and then replace every instance that affliction is used with your new one that does the same thing.

overriding afflictions made by another mod are bugged and will cause one of the mods to remove themselves from the modlist. affliction "gate_ta_ra" is an example of this, and it causes neurotrauma to fail to load when joining a server. There's a workaround (Loading one mod before the other), but you need to do this each time you play. I'd recommend removing that affliction override, for convenience, since this just caused all of our medical items to delete themselves.

why the explosion doesn't deal more damage to stuff around the victim I have no idea.
I want the option to implant a higher yield explosive into *myself* damnit!

as it stands right now, just looking at the video demonstration of the device, its only use right now is just as a forced compliance device against bad patients and clown discipline.
is that enough? yes. could it be more? also yes.

some people (even when its written in the description) don't download clientside lua and are confused when it doesn't work so its better just to do that

If you have the detonator and you do !detonate [charactername] then if they have a bomb, it explodes

otherwise you'd have to find a way to adjust the detonator to explode certain implanted players in a lua table.

I don't think I am able to, the way the mod works is that when you press the detonate button it sends a lua hook to lua then that hook checks for people with internal bomb affliction then explodes them, I could do the second part in lua but id have to send a signal from lua to xml which is impossible. my wording is probably messed up as ive just started modding but i dont think that it is possible
