That said, it is still possible that something else broke, I haven't tested every possible interaction with the new content.
Do note though that - unlike before that update - the automatic level-up window that appears post-combat closes after choosing a skill/talent.
You will have to click on your army and press the "level-up" button, to be found where it displays the heroes level normally.
I realize that this is inconvenient, but changing the game behavior on that level is quite a bit more complicated and potentially fragile than just changing a few values and thus beyond the scope of this mod.
This coupled with the reworked skill system probably means I'd need to invest a decent chunk of time to re-make the mod.
I'll take some time to look into it tomorrow, but since I don't know what I don't know, I can't really give a time estimate.
However, since the AI values the 'Learning' Talent a lot less than humans, you will notice significant differences should you invest some points into it.
If it does not, you can try reloading the game with CTRL+R; restarting the game as well as deactivating mods-restarting the game-and reactivating the mod menu.
The mod itself does automatically replace all exp-rate values at game start, and will thus apply to any games you start as well as any save-file you load.
It will not refactor experience already earned but overwrite the rate future experience will be earned as well as flag the save-file as 'modded' since you will have several heroes relying on a variable that isn't present outside this mod.
If you suspect the mod hasn't been downloaded you can follow my earlier posts below this and check for yourself both the location as well as the content of the files themselves.
Among those is also a tutorial for adjusting the magnitude of the multiplier; introducing new settings windows/interfaces was not supported at the time of creating this mod.
I've reuploaded the mod and a test download has all files showing up for me.
Please compare the same fight first without any mods and then with the xp-mod activated.
Whenever you change which mods are activated/in-use you need to 'refresh' your game by either closing and restarting or pressing CTRL+R.
If you are sure afterwards that the mod is indeed not working, try unsubscribing and resubscribing in the workshop.
You can also refer to my earlier comment to find the mod-folder and navigate to
\Custom Scripts\Game Initialisation\Set_XP_Multiplier_Here.txt
Changing the number inside this file allows you to adjust the multiplier.
While it should accept any positive number bigger than 0 I have not tested it for values over one hundred (100).
This should, however, show drastic differences in xp-gain.
If it does exist the mod will be a replacement of the vanilla experience.
The mod is very simple in its working:
Whenever you start the Game Instance (pressing play on Steam) the game will load the experience-modifier value of the mod.
Whenever you load into a map then - no matter if it is a newly created map or loading a save - the game will simply replace the experience rate of all armies with the experience-modifier value adjusted for any levels of learning present.
If you are interested you can look at the mod yourself by navigating to
