This turned out to be loads of fun and very cool. I only just got speedbooster after fighting the Serris X and that was great. Works fairly well, but seems to hitch running over some rough terrain.
I hope there are more Metroid bosses ahead as I start Hard Mode.
The Torizo was great too. I had no idea what I was getting into 5 minutes into my playthrough and finding the temple dungeon right there in the desert, but managed to beat it with a spear on Expert. How good is that "random damage reduction"? I have no idea.
I wonder if pre-skeletron should have things like the zero suit, long beam, or whatever as relatively early things to get things going.

Anyway, been great, definitely playing through the whole game with this mod on

It seems this mod doesn't like running alongside calamity or magic storage, is that on my end? (otherwise this is a fantastic mod i've been playing it for a while now!)

I freaking love Terraria and Metroid, I loved every second playing this mod, by the way, I don't know if it's intentional or not, but the mod called Ore Excavator doesn't work with the phazon.

I do have what you mentioned and will aim for the Spazer Beam next.

I am curious: Is there a configuration somewhere in the settings to toggle charged attacks? If I want to just use normal attacks, the only way I can see to do that right now is to unequip the charge beam upgrades. But that's not feasible mid-battle. And rapidly clicking isn't feasible due to wrist health.

If not, I wonder if it is possible to have a right-click function like for the Shell Phone, where you can use that to toggle between the two modes.

You should have Charge Beam, Wave Beam, and Missiles at that point. Try to go for Spazer Beam to really boost your damage.

Started playing this a few months ago. Mostly looking for advice. I've killed a couple bosses, and I am trying to only use the Metroid weapons. But they feel weaker than a regular wooden bow. I have the power armor unlocked, upgrading from the default suit. What am I doing wrong to do so little damage?

New Power Suit UI, combining the old helmet, breastplate, and reserve tank UIs into one.
Reserve tanks no longer refill instantly, instead dumping energy at a rate of about 180 per second
Gravity suit and upgrades no longer grant knockback immunity
Screw attack no longer bounces off enemies when you have knockback immunity
Reduced hunter weapon UA costs by 62.5%
Pseudo Screw attack hitbox adjusted
Speed boosting now reduces contact damage and knocks back hit enemies

was fine for a while but after killing golem enemy spawns just refuse to work tried to do gold torizo and it was just attempting to spawn regular torizo infinetly but the boss wouldnt spawn

If any of you have the same problem as me (crashing when I try to load Advance World Generation and Metroid mods at the same time), try disabling overhauled worldgen in the mod settings.
It worked for me.

Yeah, my game is crashing when trying to load the mod too
edit: I just realized that in my case it only crashes when I have Metroid Mod and Advanced World Generation activated at the same time, this didn't happen before, what a shame.

also, the arm cannon is still being reworked from an absolute nightmare of decade-old code to a new streamlined version. once that's done, ill be adding the super metroid beam combo abilities as well as MP2 beams

Calamity IS compatible. In fact, with Calamity enabled, there's a final upgrade to the True Varia Suit: the Varia Suit Omega, which needs Endothermic Energy to create, adds an extra 6 reserve tanks, and boosts defense even more. No extras for weapons and such (hopefully that's a "yet", as I'd LOVE to see a "Brimstone Beam" upgrade to the Hyper Beam).

Nevermind the problem was my hitboxs was small so me mounting it shrunk my hit box more so i would clip. because i was kirby i was small kirby transformation mod.

One last notice
When charging a beam like the judicator without letting go and then dashing into an enemy with a dash like the power suit set it for some unknown reason does insanely high damage
when first obtaining it it can do around 3k+

Another notice i made is that the statues also give stuff like Varian suits so yeah please do somethinf about this so either the statue drops are progress locked or they only give bad stuff

I have beaten *no bosses* in my second playthrough and i found a chozo statue with a golden ball on it.
I casually go to interact with it and lets just say IT GAVE ME A SOLAR BOMB
please make it so this prevents from happening because the pillar stuff is already broken as is being able to one shot master mode moon lord with hunter ability and any of the pillar power bombs itd be nice if it was nerfed

-"Spazer Beam" is now called "Spazer Trazer Erazer Plazer Disaestzer Lazer: The Beam Addon."
Other stuff that's infinitely less important:
-Diffusion Missiles now have the same base damage as a standard missile.
-Screw Attack no longer makes the player invincible during its duration; additionally, if an enemy survives contact with the Screw Attack, the player will receive very strong knockback. This cannot be negated with a Cobalt Shield or similar accessories.
-X-Ray Visor no longer requires the player to stand still, nor does it restrict item use; either of those circumstances now cause the scope to progressively shrink in size.
-Increased rarity and sell value of Enhanced Combat Unit.
-Fixed an issue where Kraid could take upwards of 10,000 damage in a single hit in certain circumstances, which were achievable in a standard playthrough by the time the player can fight Kraid.

Hey, so i found an issue in multiplayer where I can't see my buddy shoot his arm cannon and do the pointing thing that it does, and he can't see me pointing my cannon. My apologies if I worded this wrong, but could you fix it?

Nerfed Diffusion missile from 3x to 1x damage
Fixed Kraid taking the wrong amount of damage when his mouth opens
Screw attack no longer gives total contact damage immunity, instead reducing oncoming damage (25% less damage from bosses, 50% from regular enemies)
Screw attack now causes knockback on hit
Morph Ball can no longer glide with wings equipped
Fixed Visor issues with game zoom and UI scale
X-Ray scope now progressively shrinks with player speed instead of shutting off with the slightest movement
X-Ray scope can now be held for the light, smart select treats it like a torch
X-Ray visor no longer disables item use, instead using items progressively shrinks the scope
