i think that you mixed tank steering and screw mode up because the do what the other one is supposed to

To drive, press space bar until D is displayed and you can drive

Oh yeah and @SanityLoser, to shift out of parking, you press space - the handbrake.
that is your drive mode (it's all auto in drive)
To shift into reverse, all you have to do is press 'S'

wow this is nice!!! - I've been looking for a perfect car to explore around the map with - one with equipment, decent speed and handling. This is perfect for the job! You've outdone yourself this time! well done!
