This mod has been turned into a gene! Compatibility with HAR is uncertain at this point.

Is the colonist a HAR race? If so, try unsubscribing and resubscribing to the mod. Steam often chooses not to update mods for no reason. If the pawn is still infertile and it's a HAR race, could you please link the mod the race comes from so I can take a look at it?

If the colonist is not a HAR race, then try switching which mod is loaded first. I'm not sure if it will impact anything, but changing the load order may help/

I've updated the mod so it should make all HAR races always very fertile. This patch will give all aliens the same curve as what standard humans have, so if there is a race you have that should begin becoming fertile at a later age than a human, please let me know.

I've only updated Kilhn so far because I was using them as a test and noticed their young were becoming very fertile about a century too soon.

I might have found a solution to the problem. The reason this patch doesn't work for aliens is because they use a a different path than vanilla, and because I kept looking for that specific path(a stat) instead of thinking about looking in the race settings, I never found anything.

I'm going to try to have an update out within 1-2 hours of this post. Users who use HAR, please let me know if it works for you. If it does, then I'm going to start working on a patch for always fertile.

I don't know how HAR handles fertility, and that's the problem. This changes the only fertility ranges I currently know about, so HAR may be using something else for their ranges. I can't figure out what it is despite looking for fertility through a bunch of their code. I'll probably try again at a later point in time, but I'm not confident I'll figure it out.

tbh I would PAY for a way to make this properly compatible with HAR. The fact that all of my older pawns cant have children is really frustrating. Why does the base game make pawns infertile so early anyway? Also, how exactly does HAR handle fertility, and why is it a problem?

I will do some more investigating with the Always Fertile mod. Because last time I used that mod, as stated in the mod description, I don't recall the fertility of my colonists being lower than 5%. If that is the case, I will deliver my findings in the Always Fertile mod page.
Alite  [author] 27 Aug, 2023 @ 5:34am
That makes some sense given how much HAR does. I'll add a note in the descriptions. Sorry about the issues, and thank you for letting me know!

I will switch over to the always fertile mod you have also created and use your fertility genes mod to boost the fertility of my colonists. Since it appears that HAR is causing the issues with this mod, I will go another way in getting better fertility. And with some additional testing, I have just found out that only the females of ALL races, vanilla and modded, are affected. I would suggest to all that use HAR to use your Always Fertile and Fertility Genes mods to combat how HAR calculates the fertility of pawns.
Alite  [author] 26 Aug, 2023 @ 6:09pm
If you don't have any other mods that impact fertility by age, I'm not sure what is causing the issues. If it only appears in certain xenotypes, my best guess is that one of their genes has some code that overwrites the normal way that fertility is calculated for carriers of that gene. I don't think it's something that I can fix in this case since their code will always overwrite my static data.
Draconian_Alpha1990 26 Aug, 2023 @ 5:06pm
I've checked and double checked and they have no factors or genes that decrease fertility, as for mods that affect fertility, I only have the mod that adds more fertility genes. Also, I forgot to mention, the Saurids have a gene called Oviparous (Forgive me Saurid players if I misspelled), which temporarily causes the fertility to go to 0%, but returns to the previous fertility percentage once the "Egg Fatigue" debuff expires. There is a mod or two from the Vanilla expanded Series that also add some fertility genes. I will find out which ones add these, remove them, and test to see if it was these mods that are having a negative effect on the fertility.
Alite  [author] 22 Aug, 2023 @ 6:40pm
I can't manage to replicate the issue, so I'd recommend checking if they happen to have any other factors affecting fertility. It only messes with age related causes, so if there's any other effects that alter fertility then their fertility could still lower.

If there aren't any other factors the game shows for fertility, I recommend checking to see if you have any other mods that influence how age affects fertility. This mod would likely be incompatible with anything else that alters how age impacts fertility.
Draconian_Alpha1990 22 Aug, 2023 @ 5:15pm
I use the following race mods, all Vanilla Race Expanded mods, Anthrosona, and the Kilhn Race and all don't have any genes that reduce fertility as far as I know (I only mainly use Saurid and the anthrosona's) and yet their fertility is still as low as 1%, even at the age of anywhere in the 30's (All races are considered as adult at that age except the Kilhn). If I start them out as Baseliners, then change them to the race I want via a Character editor mod (which I have downloaded and am using, a lot), they get the 100% fertility, and will sometimes keep the 100% fertility, even after the birth of a baby.

Ah alright then.
Alite  [author] 24 Jul, 2023 @ 6:59am
Does the pawn have other fertility related things(i.e. genes)? This only impacts fertility caused by age, so fertility things can still cause fertility to go below 100%.
Goldengear1111 24 Jul, 2023 @ 6:16am
I tried to use this but it doesn't work for odd reason i don't use har races?
Alite  [author] 10 Jul, 2023 @ 7:17am
I haven't added archotech level genes yet, but I can look into adding that as an option. I'm not sure how flexible the gene system is when it comes to fertility, so I'm not sure how I'll do it, assuming it's something I can even do.
Joselito 10 Jul, 2023 @ 6:50am
Did you make an always fertile archotech gen? Like, for a vampire for example
nomSlime 9 Jul, 2023 @ 7:37am
Ok
Alite  [author] 9 Jul, 2023 @ 7:13am
I think pawn morpher changes the way fertility is handled in ways that I cannot easily handle. As the preview shows, I even had people in their seventies with 100% fertility, so I assume it's just an issue with compatibility between that mod and this one.
nomSlime 9 Jul, 2023 @ 6:30am
well it was races not xenotipes but it was not working on normal humans too
i was using pawn morpher
Alite  [author] 8 Jul, 2023 @ 4:42am
Are they races added by HAR, or just Xenotypes? I didn't have any issues when I was doing my brief testing, but if it's the second one I can do a more in-depth test to see if I can figure out the issue. If it's the first one, I may need to try to make a compatibility patch with it to make it work. I don't know how they handle fertility at this point in time.
nomSlime 7 Jul, 2023 @ 11:48pm
I tried this mod but it didnt seem to work idk i have lots of alien razes in my Zoo i mean Base
Alite  [author] 23 Jun, 2023 @ 5:01am
I've never seen that happen before. Do you have anything in your modlist that changes how fertility is handled, or adds new pawn types like Humanoid Alien Races?
