They weren't a hive there, primal zergs work more like packs.
Hivemind and such came with their meddling and the Overmind.
That is, until they started to head offworld, and they began to change. As they do.
The modern "Hive" zerg arose on Char and began to infest everything from there using the Overmind.
So, Char is really the origin point of the Hive zerg, and could be considered the homeworld.
But I do like the idea, especially if you decided to expand on it further.
Char? Zerus.
There's probably more that can be done. Armies, buildings, infestation. The Zerg, it seems to me, have elements of a Progenitor Hive.
@Techies!!! I'm working on an even more OP origin where the Zerg can colonize Barren, Molten, and Frozen worlds. That way the Homeworld Char can be a Molten world.
Now, I need to go find that Zerg shipset mod...
@Malikto Should be possible, but only if you are not using it since at most one empire will start with this origin.
@Noxara I will look into it, but no promises.
But that doesn't make it unfun! Turn the difficulty up and see if you can survive!
