KeenSWH have listed mods causing dedicated server to crash as a bug fix for v1.047.x
"-fixed several MODs which were crashing dedicated server"
I've just tested for myself and am able to place the edgless armor block without the server crashing.
Let me know if anyone still has problems. :)
Blast door blocks are fine for small doors inside ships, but for example if you want to build some large hangar doors, especially with heave armor, blast door blocks are just really ugly. Therefore it would be amazing to put your blocks on pistons and rotors without having to leave those ugly gaps.
However, nice work :)
After some testing I found that it was not (that I could tell) a problem with teh mod but a bug with the server so I submitted a bug report on the KeenSWH forum and was hoping it would be fixed in today's 1.046 update.
I haven't tested this mod in dedicated server but will, just to make sure it's the same problem I was seeing with the other mod.
The bug report is at: bug report [forums.keenswh.com]
You should post the suggestion on the official KeenSWH forum and, that way, someone who is better at modeling than me might make the edgeless glass.

I think the modding side of Space Engineers will be fairly stable, as well. Technically Minecraft doesn't have a modding system, aside from resource packs. But, yes, the frequent updates from Mojang making mods incompatible was the reason I never published any Minecraft mods publically.
infAI's no borders mod is my absolute favorite mod right now.
I havn't complained. I'm merely requesting a flatter block. and I fully understand his position on branching out and updating.
If I had to take a guess, it doesnt look like Keen will be going threw so much that modders will have to rework everything they submit (cough looking at you minecraft cough) which I hope is TRUE because the more participation from the comunity, the better the gameplay can get.
Once I've had a chance to see how much maintenance is required due to game changes by Keen, then I'll decide if I want to commit to releasing more detailed mods.
ie: If I have to fully rework mods every week, it's going to become a full time task. Subscribers will be angry that I'm not updating fast enough etc.
Other modders are publishing quite a lot of material though, so it might be worth while to post the request on the official Keen forum.

A 2 long sloped block (like the large ship/station slopes, but normal armor and heavy armor.
I also need blocks that are half as thick as the regular blocks for each armor type so I can build myself wings. A 1x1 have thick slope, 1x2 half thick slope 1x1 regular block thats half as thick and so on. I'd appreciate it.
That way I don't have to rely on the very limiting wing designs people have been adding to the workshop and I can just build my own wings.
Blocks that shift between half and whole blocks so I can have seamless body to wing designs would be great too.
@LuckyStrike, No, the edges are the only change from the deault. It's purely an aesthetics only mod.
For me the edges are okay at the actual edge but edges around a colour change, like in the thumbnail, doesn't look good at all to me. Given the choice though, I prefer no edges.
@Varlun, it's a simple aesthetics change - pretty much what I wrote in the description.
