Sheesh, made me think of both my grandparents with failing minds. Thanks for the room and the creative puzzles. Expertly told story.

Outstanding room, really deserves some more attention! I particularly love how each puzzle is very original and a very involved experience.

I never leave remarks but this... this deserves one. Best room I have done by far! The story line is so well done, the puzzles are fun, and the transitions between the two rooms is smooth. I would love to see more rooms similar to this. I regret it now, but I rolled my eyes at the "somber ending" comment in the beginning. Well, needless to say I had tears at the end. It gave me a lot of perspective on the matter which I needed as it hits close to home. Amazing job, thank you for this!

This was a wonderful room. My grandmother had Parkinson's and in the last couple of months before she passed, she basically forgot everything - she couldn't recognise me, or my mother, or my grandfather (whom she'd been married to for nearly 50 years). This hit hard but was a beautiful and thoughtful exploration of the issue.

Just finished playing, an incredible thoughtful room that hits home. Well done.

I really loved this escape room. At first I didn't expect much judging the cover, but WOW I was blown away. It is both a mix of challenging and satisfying. Though I am playing this extremely late so I utilized the hits more then I should have lol.

It's one of the best rooms I've ever played. I felt sad after the story but you touched my heard! <3

@Sanitäter: Thanks for the bug report, I've added a reset button to the mobile.
@Mistress Kahlan: I assume you are referring to the Mannequin and the fact that the limbs can fold in on themselves. Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to prevent that until the game developers add missing option (which I have requested, so... fingers crossed). Until then, the only help I can offer is that you can control it better if you grab the joints rather than the limbs, and move them by dragging rather than clicking.
Sanitäter 8 Aug, 2023 @ 7:28am
Deer randomly disappeared in the mobile puzzle. No reset button.
Mistress Kahlan 8 Aug, 2023 @ 5:10am
second puzzle is not easy to control. You need to make that better.

@MoonDoggie: The order in which the colors show up is not relevant. The meaning is: for every attribute (floor, wallpaper, or window), the dots tells you how many rooms with that attribute contain which color of furniture. The lower hint on the right side of the dollhouse should make it clear.
See the in-game walkthrough (press H) for this explanation and an example. Once you get that, the rest is pure logical deduction.
MoonDoggie 7 Aug, 2023 @ 2:34am
The room was good at first until you get to the dollhouse puzzle, that one did not give good hints and I felt like I wasted my time trying to solve it. I believe it was whatever the most color showed up first was the color of the room, depending on the combination.

Thank you everyone for your kind reviews. I am humbled and deeply moved by how much this rooms seems to touch those who have had an experience in their lives that Joe's story relates to. Thank you so much for sharing your own stories!

@PeachVsEggplant: The drawers referred to are the workbench drawers which are interactable. The player has had to use them before, so they should be aware of them. The drawers in the scribbles look very much like these, and not at all like the materials drawers.
The sides are implied by the fact that the drawers are shown from the left or right side in each step.

I have seen this puzzle solved successfully without the walkthrough many times. I know it can take a while to figure out, but I did not want to be too blunt and make it a non-puzzle by giving overly clear instructions.
That said, I'll look into making it a little clearer and hinting at the fact that the drawers must be viewed from the side .
PeachVsEggplant 6 Aug, 2023 @ 3:06pm
The solution to the top drawer puzzle was undoable without the walkthrough giving the solution. Which drawers? The ones we used for the mannequin parts? There's no scribbles or arrows with directions to view from any certain side, nor are there any other drawers around that are interactable. This part was completely just immersion-breaking because I was just trying to wrap my head around where 0968 even came from.

I just finished playing this level with my friend. We are both recovering from burnout and trauma and have suffered severe brain fog and memory loss for a few years now, although it is slowly getting better. This hit close to home. Excellent room, excellent story and tricky but logical and fun puzzles. We loved it!

Thanks for the map. Ugh, this map lays so close to my heart as my father and I used to work on motocycles and cars our whole life together. I am now 56 living with my own family and hoping to raise my son the same way my father raised me. It was an honour playing this map- it really picked my brain and reminded me of things i have forgotten. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!! Thank you for this map. my father also worked on motorcycles all the time, and in 2018 he was diagnosed with a tumor in his brain, the last couple months of his life he kept forgetting more and more, to the point where he didn't recognise me anymore, so safe to say this map hit home a little bit. Thank you again for this map.

Thank you for another beautiful room. It home today because I visited my 93 year old dad in the nursing home and although his mind is usually sharp, he was a bit out of it today and had trouble remembering some things. And his girlfriend who is also there has dementia that is getting worse. Thanks again for helping me remember that many people are going through this now, and for helping me see things a bit from their perspective. <3

Thanks for the bug report @Purple!
I have reworked the logic, and it should no longer happen.
