No this doesn't corrupt anything I've been using it since I revisited it back in 2023

does anyone know if the the original is needed?

I read this in the description: It's important to recall this build still uses the deprecated Transport Lines Manager mechanism to display airplane lines.

Does that mean the OG is needed?

@SkyNet, that happens when the route is misaligned, try replacing the airport stand or airport and try again.
