Every time I'm about to give up on an amazing idea I've had because I don't want to learn how to mod this game it turns out I had saved a niche mod doing exactly what I need in favourites idk how long ago. thank you, this is perfect

great!
already experimenting with the example I gave.
With this mod, I can finally see the point in using some modded enemies that don't drop anything and thus slowdown the tech progress and/or funds gathering.

Yes, you can use this mod to make security bits drop the drone corpses from other mods. A perfectly good application of this mod.

So, does this mod allow me to edit a loot table that isn't exposed or doesn't exist?

For example: "Security Bit" from "Even More Robots" that doesn't drop anything AFAIK... and I could add the corpse from "alpha's Drone Mod" "Corpse Drone" to it?

@Skarsatai 2.0 - DM me your config file set and I'll sort it out for you 👍

Stukov81-T.TV . sure of course. I tried it but CTD. I followed the instructions in the inis but no luck.

inserting new loot in an existing loottable can be done easily without this mod
lordabizi  [author] 16 Jun, 2023 @ 9:40pm
@Skarsatai - this mod allows you to associate whatever loot table you want to whatever enemy you want. How you create this loot table - is your business. See the example in the config, that demonstrates how to create a new item, create a new loot table, and use this new item in that loot table.
Other than that, this mod is just a config tool, it does nothing on its own.
Skarsatai 2.0 16 Jun, 2023 @ 2:24pm
would it be possible to insert a new item as loot ? like the magpoches from limited reload ? I miss this a loot from advent
LeyShade 16 Jun, 2023 @ 1:18pm
@lordabizi and @Stukov - thanks for clarifying. Misunderstood as editing loot tables, now instead understand is tool for changing loot table associations.

@leyshade ... i use this mod to make changes to loots that are not exposed to config. Like for example if a certain enemy sets that it uses the Muton_BaseLoot i cannot with config alone give the special corpse of that unit just to this unit

Abizis Mod allows me to do this

Yes i had the honor using it allready thanks to LordAbizi :)

I appreciate the clarification, thanks!

@LeyShade
For example basic trooper and advanced trooper use the same base loot tables, "AdvTrooperM1_BaseLoot".
You can edit this loot table with config, sure, but changes will apply to both.
This allows you to create a new loot table and use for advanced trooper's base loot table, without changing that of basic trooper.

@Relax Its OK
By itself, my mod does nothing. Loot Pinatas changes loot table. This mod allows you to change which loot table is associated to what unit.
Relax Its Ok 16 Jun, 2023 @ 3:12am
As I understand it 'Loot Pinatas' directly modifies LootTables. So by downloading this mod, all I have'to do is copy over LootPinata's Loot Table modifications into the config provided, correct? And would I need to comment out LootPinata\s configs, or will this mod always win conflicts?
LeyShade 16 Jun, 2023 @ 3:10am
"So for example, this mod allows you to have different corpses (or, in general, base loot tables) for an advanced trooper and a basic trooper. This is impossible to do with config only otherwise."

Confusion: we did exactly this just through config by directly changing the loot tables at source.

Did you mean to say that the mod functions as a collective to organise 'all' loot tables across base, expansion and mods through one set of configs?
